Al Jazeera has done some really nice docs, especially about the global financial crisis and the top 1%.
Here's a comprehensive one they did about the global financial collapse called Meltdown (four-part series):

You can find parts 2-4 in the margins. The insights are truly groundbreaking. Shit you won't find on CNN.

The Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson (epic):

Though not really a documentary, this interview with the author of Confessions of an Economic Hitman is eye-opening. I actually know John Perkins and have met up with him twice in the Bay Area (see attached pic). He's got some wild stories:
