Awesome report. Unfortunately I didn't get to go out and try to pick up because my friend and I both got violently ill right after getting to Mendoza, but the rest of the sheet definitely squares with my experience. I agree about doing a biking wine tour and visiting Parque San Martin, and I stayed at Hostel Lao which is very well located near Plaza Independencia and is probably the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at. If any of you are into gambling, Enjoy casino had blackjack tables with very favorable rules and low minimums, and we actually got free drinks there unlike every other casino I've been to in South America.
In case I ever make my way back there, what nights are good for going out? I never checked out the club scene but from what I could tell everything seemed pretty dead during the week.
