I don't like this etiquette rule because sometimes it means the girl has to walk on my right side. I prefer to keep the girl on my left side, because I'm right-handed. My right hand should be free in case I need to pull my gun, grab my knife, or throw a punch in the event some thug decides to harass us on the street.
