I'm Aussie and have lived in Singapore for 4 years, its a great place. Great lifestyle, easy to get around and everyones friendly.
And its not boring, but if u really get stuck, just get a cheap flight out every 6 weeks to BKK or Bali.
Sure accomodation is expensive(more than Sydney), and so is alcohol(at decent bars), but tax is only an average of 15%! You wont need a car, taxis and trains are dirt cheap.
Ive never had issues snagging local chicks.
Not sure about KL tax, been a few times there but not a fan, seems stuck in the past, always focused on race and religion.
