At my uni it's standard procedure to go to a girls place. It's safer for the girl and gives them peace of mind - especially important in the current rape hysteria campus environment.
If where you are things don't work like that, I'd say just go for balls out confidence. ie. "Lets go back to yours and keep partying". If she pushes for why, just make up some funny excuse like "I don't wanna wake my grandma" or whatever.
