At every major us bank, a bank employee at a branch will usually do this once everyday, maybe even twice a day. Its always better to use bank branch atms rather then a 7 11 one or something, to second another posters comment.
I assume you're talking about some way to detect a skimming device, but I'm not understanding what you're saying here. Do you stick something in it to open a door somehow and reveal the real one behind it?
