Also talks about how the amish selectively introduce technology into their communities by analysing how much of a negative societal impact a thing would have if introduced. e.g. one dude gets a smartphone, they let him have it for x amount of time, is the greater society hurt or helped? if hurt, they ditch the tech. very practical.
