Edinburgh born here. Typical day during the festival: Wake up hungover, get a 6 pack of beers and a couple joints and hit Princess Street Gardens or The Meadows to chill out and recover. Once you're nicely buzzed, take a walk up the Royal Mile and check out the street performers. Down into the Grassmarket and into the beer garden in The Beehive, or outside in the street for some food and more pints. As evening approaches, begin a pub crawl through all the free comedy venues on the Laughing Horse map. Once too drunk to heckle effectively hit up a club like The Bongo Club or Cabaret Voltaire. After club closes doors at 5am, head to The Penny Black, open at 5am, and talk shit to the assortment of lowlifes, actors, night-shift workers and alcoholics until your liver packs in. Rinse and repeat. I don't have to mention game because it's not an issue with every venue packed and everyone drunk before lunchtime.
