Any by-elections in the near future? Will be interesting to see how Corbyn's election changes previous party percentages.
My own view is that this throws a lifeline to the Lib Dems. In the absence of a financial catastrophe between now and the next election Labour under Corbyn lose 50% of their seats. In England 75% of these go to the Lib Dems, 25% to the Conservatives. Not sure about Scotland, NI and Wales. Local nationalist parties there will probably continue to do well.
I really doubt it is possible in today's Britain to create a government from public union support, however vocal. Thatcher destroyed that for good. That's why they think she was a witch.
