Head shots are great when they hit but 2" too low and you wind up with a wounded animal walking around with its jaw blown off for a month until it starves to death, not pretty. I have also shot a farm-raised pig right between the eyes with a .22 handgun and it squealed and ran off (granted the shorter barrel probably didn't let all the powder burn before exiting so lower velocity) but I only use the .22 for plinking these days. That was a great shot however.
