The show does not sound as if they are sending the family to a concentration camp, but to live like a German family in the 1940s. Most people back then were not Nazis. They made a show about the Nazi rule, which was oppressive to their own people too. But of course the occupied territories were having a worse deal there. Still - no reason to dramatize the show too much.
