I completely disagree.
I've lost a combined 50 pounds using the Atkins diet and I was eating close to 4000 calories a day, but I kept my daily carb intake under 20 grams.
On paleo I'm eating about 2500-3000 calories a day, but eating no dairy and no starch, and I'm still losing weight.
