I just supplied an objective metric by which Kanye does indeed top Jay Z. I'm not saying that Kanye is superior to Jay Z in every single way, I don't believe that at all. For one thing Jay Z has a lot more money than Kanye.
Also Jay and Ye share an equal billing as the only two artists currently signed to Roc-A-Fella Records. Jay does not currently run Def Jam. I think you're confusing that with Roc Nation, which is a very impressive business.

"I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man!"
Which he undoubtably is, and he's one of the greatest rappers ever as well. But he's not as popular as Kanye, sorry.
