Question about water intake

Question about water intake

Do flavored sparkling water and water with whey protein count toward overall water intake?

Water with two scoops of whey protein is my standard post-workout drink.

The flavored sparkling water in my case is Dasani Sparkling (I have it in both lemon and black cherry flavors now). Natural flavoring only, no carbs, no sugar, only 25mg sodium. It's one of the things keeping me sane during keto and probably will during RFL too, and helps to blunt the hunger pains during fasted periods on IF.

Is your urine clear? If so you are maximally
hydrated and don't need to drink any more water.

Question about water intake

Last time I visited my doctor I was told that carbonated water may leach calcium from the bones.

Question about water intake

If your doctor actually thinks drinking carbonated water is going to leach calcium from your bones you should find a better doctor. There's some evidence that cola can prevent the absorption of calcium but there's no evidence that carbonated water affects calcium uptake.
