Any of You Wierdos Talk to Yourselves?

I've done it pretty much daily since I was a boy, when I used to wander through the woods talking to myself
I use it to analyze situations, solve problems, formulate arguments and figure out what I'm going to say to someone
I've been called out on it many times, as recently as a couple of weeks ago when I walking into a grocery store and a woman yelled "Hey are you talking to yourself?!" I just laughed, I long ago stopped being embarrassed about it although I do try to control it so people won't think I'm weird.
I actually think it's a sign of intelligence-I've noticed that intelligent people whose minds are more active are much more likely to do it while dumb people seldom talk to themselves

I do this at work when I'm having to multitask or do something complicated. I try not to do this but it happens. I have been called on it a few times.

Sure, I talk to myself a lot. Brainstorming, rehearsing conversations, thinking through problems from basic principles. I do it in the car all the time, and I sometimes do it quietly in public. It helps to hear stuff out loud; it's like my brain sees it from a different angle that way.
I yell at inanimate objects sometimes too. Computers, cars, motorcycle, anything that can be a pain in the ass for no apparent reason. Neighbors probably think I'm crazy when I get hung up in the middle of car projects. "Why the fuck would you ever think this was a good design idea?!" and other yells in that vein are quite common.
The only person who's ever said anything is my dad; he thinks it's funny. Of course, he does it too.

Only when I'm banging a mediocre 6 and am bored and wished she were hotter.
The girl usually doesn't like it. I still can't figure out why.

I do it all the time! I usually comment on my own actions, especially when I've fucked something up or need to concentrate.
"Well done, Angry Beaver, that was just awful!" And then I just start laughing, usually out loud. My friends are so used to it that they just shrug and move on. Also, after a rough day or a tense period at work I start talking to myself to keep focus.
Yes, the inner cosmos does indeed break through. It's fun!

Totally weird, I was just thinking if starting the same exact thread today when someone caught me talking to myself (I was in the middle of a wide open field (don't ask haha) and all of a sudden they were behind me). I talk to myself all the time. Almost all of my thoughts are said out loud. Rarely do I think only in my head. If not saying my thoughts loudly, I'm at least mouthing the words. I also use a shitton of fucking swear words in my casual-ass mother-fucking thoughts.

I like to do karaoke and read loud to adjust my voice. But I also like to practice talking to myself because it opens the creative part in the brain.

Talking to oneself is crazy. I only talk to Mister Nuts, the squirrel that lives in my apartment just outside my field of vision at all times.

When I was getting my PhD, I would pace around my apartment talking to myself whenever I was working on a particularly difficult problem. My spoken voice would take one perspective and my inner voice another.

This thread has been really eye-opening to me. I mean, I assumed that some of you guys would say yes, but I didn't expect so many affirmatives.
Strange that talking to yourself outloud carries such a stigma when it's so seemingly common.
Then again, another poster mentioned a possibility of it being something more intelligent people do, and there are a lot of cerebral men in this space.

Funny enough, usually people don't tell me or even notice that I am talking to myself but last night I was out with this girl and she kept telling me to stop talking to myself, I told her that she is one of the few people that has noticed that I talk to myself because the majority of people don't usually notice that, she was like ''well that's because they are crazy too'' lmao. But I kept talking to myself the whole night, I didn't care. I think as long as you are a fun person to be around, nobody really cares if you are talking to yourself.

Yes, regularly
Sometimes I kind of interview myself whilst I sit on the toilet
I find it relaxing. I also practice upcoming potential conversations before bed
I also do the pacing thing like w00t said

All the time, especially when I'm driving in the car. It helps keep my mind organized and clear.

Yes, more often than I care to admit
Most of the time it helps me problem solve. I also do sing random songs that get stuck in my head.

Yep, talk to myself plenty and as someone else pointed out, often am figuring out conversations ahead of time, or imagining a scenario and working it out. It's interesting to have someone else point it out in this thread.
