Do you find that "pickup" culture is growing in Brazil? I find that the guys are more open to it than in other south american countries.
Well Roosh, I'm far away culturally from the avarage Brazilian (meaning I have very different tastes from the masses, at least that's the non-judgemental impression I have) so whatever comment on Brazil & its culture I give must be taken with a grain of salt.
I have the habit of reading english since I was young, and because of that I am somewhat (selectively?) vulnerable to anglophonic culture in general. That's how I got into game. I eventually tainted some friends of mine (increasing in numbers, around 4 nowadays) into "game", meaning in this sense game literature and theory. I definitely don't go around broadcasting anything about game or pick up to people, but I tend to help the occasional friend in need (I also need help myself!), and if I think they are open minded enough, I tell them about the community. I have 2 friends who were introduced to game/pick up by me something like 2 years ago, yet only now its started to make sense to them (and to some extent to me as well).
Nevertheless, I have recently observed some things that made me conclude that "pick up" culture is actually getting its way here in Brazil (Rio, at least):
-A good friend of mine started telling me about this "material" he found on the internet, that a friend presented to him. Lo and behold, it was Mystery Method pdf. This was last week, and I promptly introduced him to your blog. We are meeting two days from now to have a big chat about "game" before we go to this party (@ Casa da Matriz!)
-Early this year I was at university by the computer lab, busy waiting for a handout at the printer when I saw this huge chunk of paper being stapled. I managed to take a look and it was... Mystery Method. Being printed by a random person at PUC-RJ university.
-One of these friends of which I introduced to game, one of my wingmen, sends me this link of a popular women's magazine website through facebook, something like 2 months ago:
http://revistamarieclaire.globo.com/Revi...37,00.html
Its in portuguese, but the title says "These men were trained to seduce" and it tells about 4 brazilian guys who were receiving PUA "Richard La Ruina" in some brazilian cities for workshops; for foreigner and brazilians alike.
-This same wingman tells of an occasion when he was flying solo and overheard some hipster guys at one of the venues we usually go talking in "PUA Lingo" : "you NEG (foreign word) her first, after the OPENER (yet again) and yadda yadda..."
-I did a search on google brasil about "dating" and found this website:
http://atitudedehomem.com.br/o-medo-de-c...ma-mulher/
So, I guess that, although somewhat marginally, pick up culture is making its way over here. Yet, I rarely, if ever, observe guys with "game" at the venues that I go to. The only approaching maniacs are usually me and my wingman, and some select new recruits on the way.
...thinking of throwing a workshop over here Roosh? I'd surely appreciate!
Hope my insights were helpful.
