Car driven into Australian Christian Lobby headquarters in Canberra

It will be very interesting to find out the identity of the driver. Normally I would have put this on Mohammed's merry band of muppets but the ACL has also been a target for various pro-abortion anti-Christian groups in the past, so it's possible that this was just a botched attack by a group of ramen-swilling arts majors.
Time will tell.

A VAN carrying gas bottles was driven into the headquarters of the Australian Christian Lobby in Canberra last night and set alight, causing an explosion.
Windows were blown out and furnishings destroyed at the headquarters after it was hit by what’s been described as a “car bomb”.
There is oil and debris strewn over the carpark outside the lobby’s office in Deakin after it was rammed by a van reportedly carrying gas bottles.
A man is believed to have driven the white van towards the Eternity House building about 10.45pm last night.
The van was gutted in the explosion.
It is believed the alleged driver is receiving medical attention but there had been no arrests made yet.
Lyle Shelton, the lobby’s director, described it as a “car bomb” when he tweeted two pictures early today showing a burnt out van rammed into the front of the office building.
“A vehicle has rammed our office in Canberra & exploded. All Staff are safe. I do not know the condition of the driver. Prayers appreciated,” he tweeted.
“Shocked that this could happen in Australia.”
Australian Christian Lobby’s Lyle Shelton said he was “shocked” over the attack.
By 6am, the van had been cleared away with the strong smell of gas remaining outside the office.
Debris from the vehicle have been left behind, including a Toyota badge.
The van caused damage to the building.
The front windows of the two-storey building are smashed on both levels with mangled window blinds and light fittings hanging from the ceiling. A phone continues to ring unanswered inside.
The office is located in a quiet street, less than a 10 minute drive from Parliament House.
The car was a smouldering wreck by the time emergency services arrived at the scene only to find the shell of the van remaining with tyres melted from wheels.

Australian Capital Territory Police confirmed a vehicle was driven towards the front of the building and a police operation was under way.
“Investigations into a vehicle fire at the Australian Christian Lobby and no one was injured inside the building,” the spokesman said.
“There are no public safety issues and ACT are seeking any witnesses to the incident.”
Mr Shelton told The Daily Telegraph he was relieved there were no staff in the building at the time and is flying back from holidays with his family in Queensland today to talk with ACT Police.
“We have had the normal trolls on social media and even had death threats sent to our Canberra office over the year but I am very concerned someone would do this,” Mr Shelton said.
“It is a relief the building was unoccupied at the time and we are all very thankful our staff are all safe.
“Obviously this is very unsettling to us but also to anyone in Australia, for this to happen in Canberra, our nation’s capital is very disappointing.
“It is something I thought would never happen here, I can’t believe it.”
No arrests have been made but it is believed the alleged driver of the van is receiving medical attention.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.
