Don't go to Ukraine!!!

Seriously don't.
I had a biggest mistake ever by spending around 3 months of combined time in Ukraine. By far more than in any other country where I went with intention to meet girls.
Now wherever I go it is not enough. In my mind there is always a comparison to Ukraine. And it is always in it's favor.
Prague was impressive architecturally, but in terms of girls I was struggling. And when I approached nearly half of the times a girl would be Ukrainian. Now in Romania, I am facing the same Ukraine withdrawal symptoms. It plagues my travels as I still want to see the world. There are things that interest me beyond mere pussy hunting. But girls play a major role, they are like a frame to which the flesh of travel experiences is attached.
I thought it was just me, but I met a local Romanian player yesterday who just came back from Kiev. Not a minute passed without comparing things to Ukraine.
Ukraine is a black hole of Europe. It will attract you with cute girls and cheap prices and never let go. Kiev is like an RVF capital of Europe this days. Only winter will make some flock to warmer SA and SEA.
So my advice to all of you new to Europe. Start with west, and go to east gradually, never the other way around. Otherwise there will be some degree of disappointment. If you want to combine sightseeing, getting to know the culture and constantly being impressed with girls getting hotter and hotter do it in that order.
What is your list of countries in order of improving attractiveness of girls?

How many RVFers and general daygamers are in Kiev generally at any one time? Just from what I was hearing I got the impression it was fairly infested. Do you think the city is at risk of getting burned out?
Also how is the nightlife there? As I was getting mixed reports.

Picking up and hitting on girls is highly ingrained in eastern european culture anyway from what I could tell on my last visit there. So I don't think a few foreigners are going to make a big difference. Just make sure they know you're not turkish.

Ukraine is not a "one size fits all country", some guys prefer places like Poland which has easier girls, higher levels of spoken English, better infrastructure, better service, better food options, happier atmosphere etc.
The nightlife is also not the best in Ukraine, especially so since the war kicked off, although you can sometimes find yourself in a club with 80pc women and think that it's not bad after all.
Not all nationalities do so well, I never saw Spanish guys doing particularly well, the ones I have met have been shy and have a herd mentality. Black guys do way better in Europe generally. Turkish guys can do ok, many of them are just happy to get laid with something that has two legs instead of four. Germans and Scandinavians often don't have an approach mentality, they will sit around with their guy friends drinking beer and having fun between themselves.
When you hit your late thirties it becomes increasingly difficult in Europe to bang students whereas in Ukraine you haven't even peaked yet. If you look younger than your years this helps even more as Ukrainian men don't age very well

I agree with Vinny but not in the context of negativity.
I uprooted my life after my first trip to Ukraine in 2013. It's been a year now and I have no plans to leave. In fact, I've lost any interest in traveling all together. It could be because I travelled a lot before discovering Ukraine but I don't know. Beyond the girls, no other country compares to the feeling of freedom and financial independence that Ukraine gives me.

For Kiev, no, not that much international player competition; hardly any at all unless a tourist trap. Stories about mobs of Turks and legions of old creeps looking for wives (escorts) are online fabrication. Tourism in Ukraine is down this year, mostly due to media exaggeration of the Donbass conflict. This helps accounts for the favorable exchange rate. Walk down Kreshchatik and see very few foreigners; well under 1%. The turks I notice from time to time (airfare from Istanbul to Ukraine is close to only $100) , never with local girls though, just bearded and with other turks; and most go to Odessa anyway.
About having to speak Russian, you should specify the area. Many Ukranian girls learned English in school and can hold a simplified conversation. Bring dollars or pounds to fund your stay is infinitely more important than language skills.I think Russian is not required in Kiev, besides learning "please" and "thank you". The only non-english speakers tend to be maids, drivers, older or working classes. Restaurant and hotel workers have passable skills.
In Lvov Russian is almost a foreign enemy language that did not go over well when I tried to use it, they just switched to English. I stopped bothering to use Russian.
If you really want smooth day game, in anycase, learn Ukrainian instead of Russian, (get a tutor in Italki), knowing the local dialect will be insanely impressive.

Why do I need American dollars. I thought I needed to convert my currency at the airport before arrival?

He's obviously talking about the currency arbitrage.

I meant, metaphorically, the money you have to fund your trip, and maybe how long you stay, are what determines success, as opposed to language skills. In particular, western currency goes a long, long way due to exchange rates. (Morons are petrified that Ukraine will collapse into a World War Z zombie like scenario and their UAH will be worthless overnight, like 1929, with oligarchs jumping off their Kreschatik luxury condo buildings, as Putin riding commander in a T-90, smiling Dukakis-like comes rolling down the Ulitza.)
I would convert currency on Kreschatik or another major street, where the rates are at "spot" (right now 25.90) never at a train or airport.

Spent a long weekend in Kiev earlier this year, and didn't find the talent too mindblowing at first glance (versus say BKK or Rio) on the streets and out and about. Granted it was around 30 degrees out, however. I'm sure with more time to check out the right spots and better weather it would be on point.

I understand the feels Vinny. On this Euro trip, I started off in Serbia. Serbian girls set the standard really high and no other country that I have been to has match the attractiveness level of Serbian women. I'm going to Kiev next though so we'll see how it goes. Super excited about it.

Slight offtopic...is it even safe to speak Russian in Ukraine, due to the current political situation there (especially if you are in the western parts)?
