As far as the experience goes, I live in Orange County and was paid to be an extra in the film. My lines were limited and I didn't have to do anything I didnt want to. I got to hang out at a baller fucking mansion (I guess it's the most filmed house in porn?), smoke, drink and eat their food, all while hanging out with naked women.

Some things were a bit jarring, like a fully nude girl with cum all over her face having a conversation, accidentally walking in on people fucking throughout the day, or acting like I was at a party where itt was normal for a girl to be getting railed on the couch nearby.

2. I got to hang out and talk with the girls all day, and they were surprisingly normal. Not cool, great or special, but not outwardly crazy. A lot were almost pretty, generally had something going for them, and looked good after an hour of hair/makeup. Many were from out of state and young.

I was 1 of 5 extras, 2 of the others were girls. The two girls had never done porn and said they didn't want to, however, by the time I left, both had done nudes and one has blown the homeowner. Mind you, they too were reasonably normal, had no prior experience, much like the other male extras.

3. Being a male porn star fucking blows. They have to fuck for hours. Sometimes with condoms, all while having a ton of people standing around. They're actually generally on par, or better looking than the girls, and most have a commanding, but friendly persona that could easily land them a girl at a bar. They get paid 150-450 a day, which really isn't great, and are usually responsible for hundreds of dollars of STD testing a month, and pay out the ass for fishes prescrips.

They just needed extras to give it more of a party vibe, there was supposed to be more but a few flaked. Some of the film crew stepped in to make it more realistic

1) If one were ever to go this route, there are a # of porn producers/sites where it's seemingly one guy with a camera. (ton of amateur sites, bj sites, casting couch sites). The advantage is that those same dudes end up fucking most of the same "actresses". Maybe the contract girls won't "stoop" to do a scene with guy w/a camera, but PLENTY seem to.

2) Back in the old days of RVF, there was a guy running a cam studio in South America. He fucked his chicks for free off camera, and they made money diddling themselves.

3) When PUA was bigger, one of those instructors associated with Mystery said he actually coached some male porn stars. I'd like if there was a real good documentary made about the work environment of male pornstars and the effect on their everyday life. The big porn companies have deals with the big "free" sights. You will notice that on Xvideo for instances the new and big Reality Kings and BangBros videos are not on the site. They scrub them in return for AD money from the njg sites. I have herd many of the big pau sites have bought the free sites and just control what content to block. Some videos have been wiped off completely from the net aside from torrents.

If 50 Million men pay the $1-4 daily to fee day fee that's some good revenue. We underestimate the demand and thurst, plus many men want the new videos, with the best, stars, at the HD quality. The only option for that is torrent or DL from the source.

There is probably only 20-50(max) high level porn starts who can bank off thier name. The big pay day for men is still only in gay porn. The top level male talent have branched out into side ventures. I believe Shane Diesel for instance owns Dogfart, another one owns WCP which are the biggest black and interracial porn sites. Rocco owns a site also in Europe.

People will still pay to see consistent, quality content. If for example a guy is infatuated with a particular porn star and she has her own membership page where she releases fresh content every week, guys will pay to have access to that. But like anything, it's Parato's principle at work. Most people in porn will make little money from it before they are washed up.

People will also pay for niche porn that may be hard to find. There's a lot of crazy sub-genres.

I honestly am not sure how there's a ton of money to be made in the industry (yesterdays video had roughly 10 porn stars, 5 extras, 5 camera guys, 2 set guys, a make up girl and the producer- plus lights, cameras and the fat check to rent the mansion, and food provided for the day). And that's just the filming, not counting the editting and people working on the distribution end.

One of the guys there yesterday had 3 hours of driving and 12 hours of work for 300 dollars... or 20/hr, minus gas, minus viagra, minus the the 300 a month STD testing, etc

Having been excessively wanking it porn for about a decade now, I'm surprised (probably shouldn't be) by how many girls come and go from the industry, some stick around for years like Jada Stevens or Phoenix Marie, but most shoot a bunch of videos for a year or two then quit the biz.

It was Los Scandalous Films, which I've never heard of, but I also don't watch porn. One of the guys seemed like he had been shooting for years, the rest had been around for 2-3. The girls were in their first year primarily. The set guys/cameramen had been around for 5-25 years. One was telling the story of a porn actor who broke his dick on set and had to be rushed to the hospital

Surprisingly, all the guys were doing it for the money and could easily pull way higher than the girls on set, with maybe one exception. A lot of the girls are butterfaces or have some defect, whereas the guys are commanding, smooth and are in the top 1% fitness wise.

I don't know how the girls spending habits were, it was unclear. But even at 1000 a shoot starting you would need to do more than 1 shoot a week to be okay here in LA
