When are the London riots coming to the States?

When are the London riots coming to the States?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/euro...ml?hpid=z2

Here's my guess..

1. Who are the most disenfranchised group with the least amount to lose, with the highest unemployment? Black youth.

2. What city are police having trouble controlling urban "flash mobs"? Philadelphia.

http://violentflashmobs.com/

A flash mob crackdown gone bad will set off trouble in Philly. The black youth will start it, the media will paint it as a race issue, but whites and hispanics will either join in or sympathize. It may spread to other cities.

Or is big brother in the United States so strong that riots like this won't happen?

When are the London riots coming to the States?

Great question.

Can anyone on here give us some "boots on the ground" reports from London? (I was actually just there on Wed, Thurs, Fri).

"Or is big brother in the United States so strong that riots like this won't happen?"

I am not sure if "big brother" will stop it, I think American laziness might.

I also find it interesting that twitter, and blackberrys have supposedly played such a big role in getting this going.

They're already here, but on a smaller scale. Flash mobs. Here in the Peoples Democratic Republic of Chicago they've been happening for a while, but there was a media blackout until just recently.

This has happened many times in the USA, and will no doubt happen again.

Just last year in Oakland, there were riots after a cop only got 2 years for killing an unarmed man.

1992 - The Los Angeles riots after the Rodney King verdict.

2001 - The Cinncinati riots after a cop killed an unarmed man.

1965 - The famous Watts riots

There are many more examples.

Anytime you have frustrated people, you have potential for violence.

Considering people have been unemployed for almost 3 years now, I'd say there's plenty of frustration to go around.

Roosh: My call? Riots in major cities like LA/NYC before the end of the year. But nothing the USA won't crackdown on, and it will mostly be minorities rioting.

The whites won't start rioting until next year around election time. When that happens, then shit will really be getting tight.

If it doesn't happen by October of this year, it isn't happening until next summer. Riots aren't going to happen in the winter unless people are starving.

We'll see it before the next Presidential election.

Every day I'm in all different parts of Chicago. The contrast is startling. Lincoln Park, Bucktown, Wicker Park has some of the most SWPL, weesh white people you're ever going to meet. The aforementioned neighborhoods aren't far from, say, Garfield Park which is probably the largest open air drug market in the city. I'm just using the north and west sides as examples.

Chicago cops are heavy-handed and you have a majority populace that doesn't care how they get it done so long as things seem OK. In the past two years being around this city I've noticed a much heavier police presence in areas rich and poor. Right now the kids are just coordinating flashmobs to swipe merchandise, they're roaming in smaller packs to steal "Chad's" Iphone and $200....

But there's a tension bubbling underneath the media's PC newscasts. When something goes down between the cops and a young, presumably innocent, black man, SWPLs are going to have no idea what hit them. These flashmobs are very well coordinated and, in the end, cops are government workers - they can't react quickly enough.

Also remember, Britain doesn't the gun culture we have in the US. Wherever it goes down in US, it's going to make these London riots look like child's play, which, based on what I'm seeing, is no small statement.

Good point Roosh.

Summer is when this stuff is more likely to go down.

Kids out of school.

Add really hot weather and boom.

This is an interesting question. My guess--given the pattern of civil unrest in this country and the extended degeneration of the region--is that it will be one of the cities of the so-called Rust Belt. One of the old industrial, once-proud cities in Michigan, Pennsylvania, or Ohio that has been consumed by urban blight, poverty, and crime (Detroit, Flint) is primed for an eruption.

Even though the larger cities with a long history of ballsy rioting, like Los Angeles, would seem like good candidates, there's still too much affluence in those places--plus law and order could quell anything relatively quickly, before it garnered national attention. Places that look and feel like wastelands are way more likely to go that route. It's just going to take a "spark moment": an unfair arrest, killing, or massive election theft.

When? My guess is not for a while. The American people are remarkably resilient at taking it in the ass and not noticing that it's being given to them. After 2012, probably. If the Republicans manage to destroy Obama--and the country in the process--enough to make him lose the election, that could do it. But I sort of doubt that. If the BP Oil Spill and Exxon-Mobil getting a tax refund didn't do it, I'm not sure what will.

It's gotta be something that's huge, that's important to Americans. Maybe if Johnny Depp gets arrested, Facebook goes down for a week, or if the Bachelorette gets cancelled, that'll do it.

Yeah, environmental or financial stuff won't do it.

It has got to be a cop killing an innocent.

Or cell phones going out of service.

Or maybe even just texting going down.

Possibly even a pause in picture messaging.

Riots will happen when the gov't cuts back the funding for medicaid, welfare, and food stamps without a corresponding increase in the employment rate (especially among black men who are being hit particularly hard).
The riots will be set off by a non-economic event - white cop beats black man, a la rodney king. But the anger is brewing underneath the surface, there is no doubt about that. The only difference now (from the past) is there is much anger in the white community too. White people are not living the 'quality' life they got used to for two decades (credit funded their lifestyle and then dried up). Will be interesting to see if the white people take to the streets, or sit back and quarterback this one from their chair at home...which is, of course, being paid for by hard workers like me through unemployment.

Historically Black people have done a great job getting shit done with riots but I think most Americans these days feel and are too powerless to create another movement though and rightfully so. It seems the majority of Americans now feel that the government is corrupt with huge public figures such as George Soros and Jesse Ventura claiming some "conspiracy theories" were not such theories after all. After all ACTIONS speak louder than words [This documentary is long and obviously biased but believe me you'll want to watch it.] The U.S. government is worse than the mafia in the way it operates. Are THESE soldiers to keep the peace or oppress would be American citizens from demanding change?

I know, I know... the conspiracy nut had to come on here and ruin it for the rest of us [Image: tard.gif] but really think about it. Could we truly riot anything and cause a change? The military will shut it down in a heartbeat. The rules of the game have changed and America is no longer controlled by the people. The worst part is, we already know this.

In Argentina they took to the streets after the country defaulted, devalued the currency, and bank accounts were frozen.

The thing is this stuff has been going on under the radar in France for awhile. Angry disenfranchised immigrant youth burning and looting and rioting in the suburbs of Paris. I guess it's finally caught up to merry ol' England. It also sounds like a lot of Germans(and Swiss) really don't like Turks and accuse them of committing a lot of crime. I've talked to what seemed like very non-prejudiced liberal German and Swiss people and then when you bring up Turks you'd think they turned into the KKK. I wouldn't be surprised if something went sour in Germany too. Europe is going through quite a demographic change and things like this are certainly going to fuel the ultra nationalist parties within their country that want to shut down immigration. Have you guys heard the story of Pim Fortuyn? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pim_Fortuyn

I don't think it'll be happening in the USA anytime soon. I think if anything just having a black president cools the feelings of disenfranchisement a bit. L.A. is not ripe for another riot. I know my city very well. It's not about to happen here. If it did, it might be a few looters and opportunists on a small scale like what you saw after the Laker championship a few years back, but there won't be any repeat of Watts or the Rodney King riot anytime soon.

Only one thing I think could trigger a widespread upheavel in America would be the a---------n* of Obama by some right wing activist types. But even then I'm not sure.

*I left out the word in case there bots scanning the internet looking for keywords suggesting threats against the president and I don't want to draw the Secret Service in here if that's the case.

European minorities feel disenfranchised? These guys get free schooling, free healthcare, access to welfare and unemployment benefits. How much more of a helping hand can you give them? How can you make it any easier for them?

Maybe the problem is not disenfranchised youths, maybe the problem is welfare grabbing, self entitled "victims" who never bothered to integrate? Maybe "the man" is not always to blame?

Maybe we could hold these fucking degenerates responsible for their own actions for a change instead? Or is that too much to ask?

Nah, bruv, I lived in the UK, it's nowhere as rosy as you make it, mate. I was there for the Brixton riots (didn't go out) and there is a constant discontentment amongst minorities.

The free healthcare and all that is very nice but give a man a chance to stand up on his own two feet and carve out a living. There is still discrimination in hiring practices and this seems to be the trend in commonwealth countries. I've heard some stories about Auzzie land and New Zealand (Commonwealth countries) and don't let me get started on Canada.

There are certainly opportunistic cats out there taking advantage (dole moles etc) but on the whole, there is injustice.

Idleness and lack of hope for the future is why people do this. What you think of as benefits is not seen as such by them, or else they wouldn't hit the streets.

A socialized economy stifles growth, which is the reason all developed countries with their welfare states are suffering from rampant poverty. Socialized economies always fail in the long run.

So, despite all the free shit, very few of the citizens benefit from it.
