So I went out and bought some v necks but now I need jeans to go with them. I've been wearing baggy jeans up until now but I want to get away from that look. I want some nice ones while spending as little as possible (college student). Any brands or stores y'all can recommend? Do y'all get loose fit, jean cut, etc? I'm skinny so I hate skin tight pants.

Make sure they're darker indigo blue jeans, and the better brands tend to look better and last forever, details, etc. think hugo boss, polo, Armani, Calvin Klein.

Stay away from the hilfiger, nautica type those are cheap and fade.

I'm not really into the true religion, 7 for man kind, evisu type with all the designs and glitter on them or if you on a budget get the nice pair of levis dark indigo wash.

Just normal or loose fit, no way in hell skinny jeans, never ever never ever!!Extra baggy looks silly when you try to dress them up.

Forgot to mention that I don't want that glittery, designs all over them jeans. Just plain ones.

Wash your jeans inside out and hang them to dry. This will slow the fading process. Levis is always a safe bet. Girls look at our asses so make sure whatever you buy fits well. I prefer low rise boot cut for casual and low rise straight leg to wear with blazers.

i would recommend boot cut and straight leg as the best cuts of jeans. make sure its loose not just for comfort but also because too tight jeans can reduce your sperm count from making your crotch overheat. a pair or two of dark indigo, a pair of light blue, and a pair of black jeans as a substitute for black corduroy pants should cover all your bases, since with relatively few shades of jeans you can rock alot more different styles and clothes

I wear Levis, they're cheap, durable, and usually fit pretty well. I like the 501s with the button fly.

The thing with Levi's is that in the US they are considered to be at best trailer park couture while in Europe, especially Scandinavia they are considered fashionable. I should probably make a list of the brands that have very different general image Us vs. Europe. You have to watch yourself there so you don't commit a social blunder.

slim fit low rise

the best semi affordable nice stylish jeans i find are from Buckle. good pair of jeans 80 bucks. Granted im not in a big city so my options are limited at my mall....

forgot to mention brands: jcrew, tommy bahama, diesel, and levis.

A cup of white vinegar with your wash will drastically reduce fading. A girl told about this a couple years ago and it helps keep your clothes looking new for much longer.

Houston, go to a Levi's store and peep some dark indigo Levi's 511's. The 511's are 'Skinny', but if you get the right waist they will be slim and fit just right. They will feel tight as fuck at first, but after a week of wearing they will be settled in and loosen up. I'm your same height and have a similar frame and these fit well.

Levis 514 are slim, they have a bunch of colors, try to find an outlet, around 30bucks each.

Yeah, I've NEVER heard bad things about Levis like that. Trailer park clothing? Seriously?

I've had a pair of Diesels for a year. only had to wash them a few times. they feel 10x better than a crappy pair.

That's the impression I have from the South at least where they think of it as a JC Penney brand. Granted the info is some years old so it might have changed.

Nah, Levi's still get love. I guess maybe in snobby circles that are very materialistic, they talk shit about them but that definetly ain't me. There's a Levi's outlet store down here that I didn't even know about. Hopefully I can get them cheap as fuck.

They last forever too. I've killed a few pairs of nice designer jeans I've gotten as gifts, but my $50 levis refuse to go down.

Levi's are iconic. Pioneers wore them in the rush for gold. 501's are still considered a standard in the fashon world. Many a panty got dropped when I rolled down highway 1 wearing 501's and Tony Lama's atop an iron steed. They saved my ass from road rash. Euro girls gave me over my 527's. There's still 15 yr. old faded out 550's in the closet I pair w/ Rainbow flip flops for swooping at the beach. Hell, I've flown into war zone's wearing the Levi label.


The "trailer trash" brand you may be referring to is Wrangler. Or anything sold at Walmart.

The only comparable jeans to Levi's for me is Lucky Brand.

I wear Levi's a lot and have never been called out for it and have never heard it considered trashy. One of the best value options at $30-50. Just make sure the fit is good on you.

Well, looks like times have changed then. As mentioned, when I went to HS in the US they were not well recieved.

Sure it was Levis? Wranglers is the other big jean company, and from my point of view those are the cheapos.

Did you go to a high school with students driving brand new luxury cars?

Levis makes their regular types of jeans that are pretty cheap but they also have more expensive types of jeans. The Levis you buy at Bloomingdales are different from just the Levis store. The more expensive ones fit better and look better.
