URGENT: How to diffuse someone seeking revenge?

Hey guys, I wasn't sure where to put this, but because it involves psychology, I figured it might fall under game.

To put my situation into perspective, someone is trying to seek revenge on my girlfriend by killing her. This person attempted to stab her and failed once, and stabbed her a separate time but the wound wasn't deep. GF charged her assailant with the stabbing, but because the assailant works for a politician there, she was let free after a few days. They also hired multiple assassins to kill her, one of which shot at her and missed earlier today. I know this sounds crazy, but she lives in the Philippines and it is not unheard of. It's one of the reasons body guards are relatively common there.

Every attempt on her life occurred at her placed of work, and I told her that she needs to switch jobs and change her patterns. I think if she stays away from any place she used to go in the city, it shouldn't be too hard to disappear in a city the size of Manila. Eventually the attacker would have to give up or drain their life savings pursuing her. GF's being an idiot and doesn't want to switch work until its convenient... typical woman haha. Just can't embrace reality.

Her assailant is trying to get revenge on her because she thinks my gf is with the ex boyfriend of the assailant (that's what the ex bf told her). She tried talking to her attacker (they were friends before), and she won't listen to her. I was wondering if you guys knew any way to diffuse someone's desire for revenge? I want to put together something I can have the gf text her attacker, or something the ex bf can text the attacker. I'm running out of options at this point.

From what I've read, people seeking revenge are looking to amend an injustice by having their targets suffer and acknowledge wrongdoing. I was planning to have the woman text the attacker and make it clear that she's not afraid and she won't get any satisfaction. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Not to sound insensitive, but if she gets stabbed to death, there's millions of more pinays to take her place.

"For every one Filipina die, one balut is born".

Move the hell out of the Philippines.

I've seen some shit on TV about some American guy that married a Flip chick. She got some ridiculous insure policy on him,
brought him to meet her family over there and she had him killed for the money.

What is it about that place? Why are they so fucked up?

Probably a troll, but if serious...

Have you personally witnessed these attacks?

It sounds like she's making this up as she goes along, and she was worried you wouldn't believe her, so she cut herself up the second time to make her story more plausible.

The entire situation sounds like a very elaborate shit-test. How long have you been seeing this chick? How sure are you that she was actually assaulted? Why is her boss allowing her to come into the workplace when he knows she will drag the gunshooting/knifethrowing crazies in?

I suspect that every attack occurs at work simply because you are not there to witness it at the time so she can make up any story she likes.

As always, and I am going to patent this question:

"Why do you believe her?"

I actually have a complex about this now. When you said "Someone stabbed her" you're not telling us what happened.

You're telling us what SOMEONE TOLD YOU.

AND FURTHERMORE, WE don't even know if someone told YOU what you said they did.

So the furthest I'm willing to go here is she's trying so get some money from you , to "move to another place" etc.

This would be a good con because she can just stay where she is, spend the money, and say it blew over, and there doesn't have to be sny vet's bills, doctor bills etc.

So you're IN the Philippines? When you say "we've been together" do you mean you've been writing from the US and sending money?
Could you end us an anonymized photo of you in an obviously Philippines setting with an RVF sign hand-drawn?

Kill her or move.

Those are the only two options.

Yea... I'm probably putting too much faith in her story. Thing is, she's never asked for money and she doesn't really need to (she's a renal nurse and makes pretty decent money there). The only time I've spent money on her was to buy her chocolate or a mango shake. She also made it explicit that she wants to stay there (not move to the US).

That being said, there are a few red flags that should make me think twice before believing her. She has other scars, some which she admitted which were self-inflicted, apparently from past relationships. She's also very private when it comes to what she shares with her family.

I'm currently in the US, and go over there as often as possible. It's hard to have an income there unless you're a flip national, own an online business, or collecting a pension.

But anyway, now that I've had time to reflect on some of those red flags, maybe it's time to move on from this one.

Would you take this kind of crap in America? If not then why do so in the third world?
