A few of the conversations aren't completely opened so you get the entire gist, but I usually try to reference something from their profile if I can in one of the jokes. I also always copy their profile link and open with another browser (not logged in) so they don't see me view their profile. I feel like it makes come across as less needy than a guy who constantly pops up on their visitors, but who knows.

I don't pay if I can avoid it. My last date with this 22yo croatian chick ended with her paying in full, very surprising. I typically offer to pay if they don't make a move, but I try to lead up to it with her buying the first round (i.e. "first round's on you" in one of my messages). Surprisingly, most of the girls I take out offer to pay half. Then, I'll usually thank feminism for gender equality and they eat it up. If a girl offers to pay, I never refuse -- this was a mistake I made early on thinking I should white knight it. You DHV by letting a woman pay, it's great.

For everyone hammering the online dating at the moment are you really finding a lot of good looking girls?

I've looked at the girls in my area on OKCupid and whilst some of them are 'OK' there's no stunners on there, by looking at their profiles they all seem a bit weird, geeky, needy or demanding which is probably why they are on a dating wesbite.

I don't know how the matching algorithms work exactly but as I sift through girls at least 20-25% are at or above my standards (7). I usually deduct a point from online to real life though. There are a ton of hot girls on in my area, I'm finding no shortage anytime soon.

I haven't uploaded any pics or filled out a profile yet so I assume when I search for people it just gives me all who is available?? Maybe it's just my area but it doesn't make me want to bother with online dating sites so far.

You can set almost any parameters you want when searching. Distance, religion, last online, hair color, income, a combination of all or none, whatever.

I've used a variety of #3 before, that worked really well on multiple girls. I used to have a van, which was great for obvious reasons. Depends on the logistics. I try to always have them metro to the date (10-15 min away from me) so after I invite them back to my place (2-3 min from the metro in DC) I can just give them a ride home, or they can just jump back on.
