Capt Power is the guy that orders fajitas at the restaurant...the waiter says "sir, be careful, the plate is hot" and capt power touches the plate, burns himself and blames the restaurant.

This thread is funny. I have to say though I hear what CP is saying. I've been to Vegas twice but when I was a young dude in the game (19 and 22). Both times were during summer when it was ridiculously hot. I'll have to go back to do it right but off first impression I found it to be real tacky and corporate. Even if you "do it right" does it justify the big bucks you're going to drop if you're just looking for a regular weekend destination to get a notch? Are the girls that much better in quality? I can see the appeal if you've got some kind of event or function to attend but otherwise is it worth a trip from the east coast?

Also, not sure what else CP could have done right if he was approaching and hitting up parties. Fundamentally that's what counts. His complaints about chicks rolling in big groups and the bad layout of the clubs there are valid.

CPs game plan was probably wrong but there's still a lot of truth in his post. Vegas is a couples getaway and a hot spot for attention whores(ie Bachelorette parties).

The quality of chics isn't any better then NYC. It's not worth the trip if you're an east coast player.

As you get older you learn to plan or lack of plan you're trips around things you actually enjoy instead of things you're supposed to enjoy. For me I'm happy going with the flow. I was in Valdosta ga two nights ago and loved it. A hotel room costs as much as a drink but was full of characters and spotted sluts at the karaoke lounge. Perfect for me. High end clubs I hate with a passion not because of costs it's the vibe.

In other news, a guy goes to New York City in wintertime.

He hates it because:

- There is no Beach with topless girls
- It is cold
- Too many people
- People are dressed nice in high end spots
- It's more expensive than Zanesville, OH
- Too much honking
- There is some trash on the street
- Real Estate is expensive
- Too many hipsters
- The subway is crowded
- Saw a Rat
- Too many "Foreign People"
- It is loud, and not peaceful like the countryside
- Too many tourists in Times Square
- The line for Cronuts is too long

I'm still intrigued by the virtues the pro-Vegas crowd talks about. I may go this fall after the heat dies down and go about it the right way.

I actually have a very good friend who I've traveled with before and he used to go to Vegas every Memorial Day weekend with some NFL/NBA friends and they have a blast. Should have went along the one time he invited me because now he's married with children and won't be going out there anymore. These guys drop like 30K on a table so it's a totally different experience as you can imagine..

He said what a lot of guys here say in that it's the easiest place to get laid in the US. Girls in vacay mode...

^^^ At at a certain point how much is it worth dropping on tables and hotel suites just to get some pussy? Dropping 30k on tables?? Damn. If you gave me Adrianna Lima as a personal sex slave for a week it wouldn't be worth 30k to me. Maybe some dudes have that kind of paper to throw around and it's insignificant to them. But even if I was wealthy, Vegas would rank pretty low on my list of places to spend time and money.

I suppose like with pretty much everything else in life it comes down to money. If you have so much that spending $30k in one night doesn't even phase you I'm sure Las Vegas is an awesome place and you'd have the time of your life, if you're a normal person that's counting every dollar so you have enough to pay your bills it doesn't make sense to go to a place that is designed to take every cent it possibly can off of you.

I'm closer to the second category so I definitely could never justify going there, but for those who belong somewhere in the first category and know how to do it right Vegas is probably great.

But to be honest, even if you have that much money, unless you truly enjoy gambling or are there for an event, aren't there other places to get a better ROI, i.e., pussy?

You guys are being extreme.

There is a wide gap between spending 30k on tables and walking down the strip in summertime to save cab fare.

The best of Vegas can be achieved somewhere in the middle.

East Coast guys dont like Vegas because 1) its a bitch to get to and 2) East Coast guys are more logical and analytical then West Coast guys. So the guy from LA who catches a 1 hour flight or 4 hour drive, doesnt have the flight overhead, and really doesnt have many other getaway options for a weekend enjoys the trip more then the guy who takes a 5 hour flight and is used to going to the beach for a weekend getaway. The west coast guy is also less concerned w/how much money he's blowing as long as he's having fun. California guys can go w/o a beach because they have one available every day.

I have written about this before, for some reason many East Coast Guys get gutted in Las Vegas and LA.

On the flip, West Coast Guys get chainsawed in half in Miami Beach and NYC.

It takes a rare Playboy to dominate both.

Back to the financial aspect of Vegas, here is how it is done The G Manifesto way:

Have $300 to $600 in your wallet.

This easily gives you enough money to eat a dope restaurant, get top shelf cocktails all night (drink lots of water too), Grease, and cabs/limos, any covers etc.

This also give you financial power to be a "bully with the bucks" over all the chumps that come to Vegas.

A little Game and know-how, and you can out-maneuver the guys dropping 10k-30k on bottle service.

For $300 to $600, some moves, some Game, some connections, some common sense, a Custom Suit, Smokes etc, you can have fun like a Millionaire in Vegas.

If you do that (really not that hard) no one can touch you.

Hell, most times, I still have half what I started with in my pocket in the morning and a fly girl sharing my alarm clock.

I must say that's pretty impressive, I suppose what most guys are lacking are the moves and connections, and of course, game.

For many years, I didn't have a personal bank account and only had a business account. I didn't have an ATM card or a check card for any account. Although I have a credit card, I never use it. It is only for extreme emergencies which never seem to happen. What I did when I was on vacation (normally Miami Beach) was go to the bank once a day and withdraw between $500.00 and $1,000.00, usually on the low end of that. That amount would generally be more than enough for the night. Because I didn't have an ATM card, I didn't have access to any more cash, so I would have to make do on the money I withdrew from the bank earlier that day. The logic there was that I would always have a decent amount of cash for the night, but I wouldn't be able to go apeshit even if I wanted to, because I didn't have access to any more cash.

I dont disagree, but thats where the analytics come into play. Flight from East Coast - 400. Nice hotel for 3 days - another 1k. 3 days/nights at 300/day and you are pushing 2500 for a 3 day weekend. Sure, you can have fun for $2500 a weekend, but is it really worth the price? Some guys can say yes, some guys don't agree, and to each his own.

It just seems like even with all the info here, Vegas takes some practice to get right. The West Coast guys have easy access and so more opportunity, whereas from the East Coast it's a big event to fly there. I could study it all, but when the rubber hits the road I don't think it would be so easy. I think BMans points make a lot of sense.

Edit: $2500 for 3 day weekend makes no sense to me, especially if the primary purpose is to get ass. I mean if you're going there for the "Vegas experience" and hang out with the boys and just party it up, maybe. If you don't give a shit about that, I could think of way better uses of 3 day weekend (Florida, DR, Mexico).

Agreed, again it all comes down to money really, for some guys like Gmanifesto I'm sure it doesn't make a big difference, but for guys like me I couldn't justify this expense, I'd be basically blowing away a month's salary on a weekend, there's not way I'm doing that, so I guess it's not the city, it's the player.

Like you said, to each his own.

On a sidenote, I've been to 2 strip clubs in Vegas. Both times, the strippers grabbed my hands and put it on their boobs and vag.

<---- Knowing what I know now, this is swoop greenlight.

First time, fly exotic dancer was walking through and go stuck in between chairs at Sapphire. I moved my chair to let her pass. She gave a dance to some asian baller behind me, then 5-10 mins came back from behind and put her boobs on my head. I thought that was hysterical and we started chatting about Lady Gaga and how this stripper wanted to eat her box. lmao. She gave me a 2 for 1 dance and choose long songs on purpose. 20 dollars for 30 mins of talk/dance.

2nd time, walked into a strip club off paradise. Brazilian girl asked me if I had yay. I smiled and she started stripping/dancing on me, unprompted. It got really raunchy. Funny thing is that my group had a bunch of blow back home. Didn't close. =/. Looking back, I missed another sure lay-up.

I agree with what TheCaptainPower says in his original post about difficulties with walking along the strip. I frequently mention that to people and they act like they have no idea what I'm talking about when I bring it up. I don't think that is a reason to avoid Las Vegas entirely. I think it is merely a reason to adapt and change the overall strategy. In places like Miami Beach, New York, Jersey Shore, and Southern California beach towns, I walk everywhere and simply approach on the street and/or beach. In Las Vegas, that strategy does not/cannot work and at the bare minimum, taxis must be used to get around.

TheCaptainPower:

Did you go to either the Wynn or Cosmopolitan? If so, did you approach at all when you were there? Did you check out either Parasol Up or Parasol Down in the Wynn?

Did you go to The Peppermill?

You stated that you booked two suites at The Palms, but the part of your original post which mentions Fremont makes it sound like you stayed elsewhere? Where did you stay? How was it? Was there any talent at The Palms? Did you eat at any restaurants at The Palms like N9ne?

Many people complain about that resort fee and although I was unclear as to whether you also had to pay for the gym on top of that fee, after reading your post, I am sure that you have to. How was the gym at The Palms?

I really think that this guy's strategy and overall experience would have been different had he gone alone as opposed to going with a bunch of guys for a bachelor party. I think you lose independence that way, which of course, affects your whole experience. It would be interesting to see if he has a different opinion of Las Vegas if he goes there alone in the near future.

Also, everyone says to avoid Circus Circus. It can't be a good move to stay there.

Vegas is for playboys (mostly well-connected) or ballers . Everybody else eats shit for big weekends.

That being said, I've had dope vegas trips for 200 dollars/ weekend or 2k/weekends.

For most, count on a 2k weekend (thursday-monday) or 1.5k (friday-sunday).

I personally prefer Cabo and Scottsdale to Vegas. That said, Vegas is fun for what it is and it's not that much per guy unless you are suckered.

You usually put 2-4 guys in a suite.

Here's a suite reservation at the Wynn with no hookups, full price. Call, ask around for better rates.

A day bed at a pool party isn't that much. It's a minimum spend. Figure $500-1000. Split between 3 guys, that's not that much. (And you don't even need a day bed.)

The party at Encore ends around 6 p.m. Girls are buzzed. The strategy is to bring them back to your room. It's not that hard.

Don't do the bottle service at XS.

There's actually a lot of great advice in the Vegas thread CP posted. He just didn't listen to it.

FWIW I payed $92 a night at treasure island last weekend. Split that rate in two ...there was a 25 resort fee though. In Venetian rooms you can stick six guys per room if you want to save money.i usually do 3 max nowadays but prefer my own room if cheap enough

As stated in previous threads, palms is a logistical nightmare.
