I'll give it up for the BOG initial recommendation that the Kings are in Sactown where they belong.

Who is going to take a game from Miami, not a series, a game. Looking good there.

Warriors fun as hell to watch, but cant fuck witht he Spurs next round

I was wondering the same thing about miami. The Bulls however did break their long winning streak, so I'll say the bulls may win one out of the series.

I wouldn't totally count the Warriors out against the Spurs though, they're playing nice. They're about to take Denver, the 3rd seed in the west.

I guess for here on out anytime there is a fight I will hear someone shouting Worldstar, Worldstar......

I was watching the Warriors game. My girl wanted to bang. I was sitting on my couch. She got down on her knees in front of me and started unzipping my pants.

I told her to get away from me. She got mad and looked at me like I was crazy.

Bitch, its the NBA playoffs! Don't fucking touch me!

Sex is overrated. Playoff basketball is better. Just my opinion.

Sex is just not that important to me.

@iWin. Putting out Magic's stats is the obvious way to respond to the argument that he's the best point guard to play. Difficult to argue that. Although, there is a glaring lack of any all-NBA defensive teams made.

My main point is that Magic Johnson is overrated, because point guards historically are not the best players. To be great, it takes scoring and defense. Magic did it another way...with his playmaking. He did it with great players. Multiple hall-of fame players. It was the best situation for him. Put Magic's playmaking ability on LeBron's Cavs. What do you get? Put Jordan, Bird, Kobe, Oscar, etc, etc, etc and they do just what LeBron did. Magic doesn't get you there....IMO

I actually agree that today having a pure PG is not really that valuable for winning a championship. If you look at the majority of the championships won in this era very few of those teams have been lead by elite PGs, so they are a very overrated commodity in that sense.

I simply can't agree about Magic though. His job was not to score hence he did not score alot of points. However, he was extremely efficient at doing so, making him an incredible offensive player when you add in his playmaking. He also didn't force things and was not ball dominant. He had the best post game for a guard EVER, got to the free throw line a ton, and has a career true shooting percentage(google it) higher than Bird or Jordan.

Nowhere is it written that defense and scoring are the only criteria that need to be met in order to be considered a great player. Every great player played with great players, I don't see why people hold this against guys. Jordan played with 2 HOFers and was coached by Phil, Wilt played with Baylor, Goodrich, and West(!), Bird played with Johnson, Mchale, Parrish, Russell played with Havlicek and Cousy etc. Its not really fair to say a guy played on a team that was too loaded when all the greats did!

I also don't like playing the hypothetical game because we will never know and the eras were completely different. All we can go off is what players did when they played. As for Magic, that means when you take his accolades, accomplishments, and talent and apply it historically, you maybe get 5 guys that are even remotely in the same stratosphere as him. The numbers and rings speak for themselves, also keep in mind that after all the great players left including Abdul Jabbar, the Lakers continued to top be a juggernaut on offense. Check this in the 1989-1990 season(after Kareem retired), they had the BEST offensive rating in the league and were 6th in scoring! In Magic's final year, they were top 5 in offensive rating in the league. Its one thing to call Magic overrated but to blame it on his offense WOW. As for his, defense like I said before he was a good team defender and extremely disruptive on D. He's top 20 in steals all time and is tied for the record of most consecutive seasons leading the league.

A celebratory gesture that means they(or someone on their team) just hit just hit a three. Another variation is when they poke themselves in the head with 3 fingers like Carmelo does.

Fine. I would take Magic if LeBron was out sick. If I had a big front line, I would take Isaiah.

So, you think Magic is overrated. BUT, you would still take him as the best point guard of all time.

Thats sounds a little weird but I have no issue with that.

I know what you mean. You don't really like him as a person, you don't really like the way he played, but, you have to respect what he did on the court.

Magic played with some good players (Worthy, Cooper, Scott,) (Kareem was old)

But..

Bird also played with great players (Mchale, DJ, Parrish)

Jordan played with great players (Pippen, Rodman)

Lebron plays with great players (Wade, Bosh)

I know you don't like Magic. But, thanks for being honest and admitting that he is a top 2-3 pg of all time.

Like you, I also like Isaiah. But, Isiah was 6'1 and Magic was 6'9, big difference.

Oscar is right there also.

Lebron might be better then all of them.

I'm not excited about it. If Westbrook was healthy, the Thunder would win the west. I don't like winning because of injury.

I will only get excited if they win the championship.

I love the Spurs but the Thunder were a better team.

It's a team sport. A great TEAM can beat a great PLAYER.

That Dallas team has to be one of the greatest of all time. Why didn't Cuban re-sign Chandler? Bring back Barea? Arguably Kidd and Terry would still be playing there if Chandler was there.

I know some of these guys are washed up but they could have plugged in some young guys and signed Vince Carter as a 7th man and be contending this year and next.

Now he is media whoring, saying he is going to give Brittany Griner a try-out. Sad.

Gio, you should be excited. I understand the championship or bust mentality but I am not sure if the Thunder are a better team without Harden. If you remember, Harden was a big part of the Thunder success until the Finals. This year OKC was prone to too many isolations with Durant and Westbrook.

Also, remember last year Miami was without Bosh for two series and could have lost either one. If Indiana or Boston end in the Finals and win, they win. I think injuries are unfortunate but it is what it is. As a Spurs win you should take anything because how many playoff runs have the Spurs squandered because of poor health? In the end, if you win the chip, you win it.

OKC's record against the top teams was not stellar by any means although I don't hold that against them because Miami was like that too the last two years.

I am not so sure the Thunder win the West. If it came down to a healthy Spurs and OKC, I had it going to a game 7 and I would have picked the Spurs for that game. So without Westbrook now, Spurs should get to the finals.

Now it looks like that it will be Memphis-Spurs for the Western Conference Finals.

As I am writing this Boston is giving NYK a fight and I hope they force a game 6 even though I am not a Boston fan.

LAC has been exposed and if they lose this round it will be very interesting where Chris Paul ends up.

Is it possible to have CP3, Kobe, and Howard together? I am not sure if the Lakers could do that under the new CBA but that would certainly give rest of the league fits.

LeBron has to get his second this year. If he can lead Miami to championship against a team (Memphis/Spurs) that plays a completely different style than the Heat he will cement his place as an all-time great (he's already there but winning a ring against Memphis or Spurs will be better than winning against OKC).

And Mark Jackson needs to shut up and I must say he is a very smart man at the same time. Looks like he is trying to create tension in the Denver locker-room.

One of the greatest teams in terms of one of the few teams to win without multiple superstars. They had one superstar, very good role players, a good bench, and an excellent coach.

Cuban took a gamble as he understood that retaining the team under the CBA would be almost impossible. He was basically counting on Deron Williams to sign with them and he failed.

I do hate his media whoring and for stirring the Brittany Griner debate. However, I will always like him for exposing Skip Bayless for the professional troll he is. If people haven't seen it, find the full 30 minute segment with Cuban and Bayless. It is pure ownage and Bayless looked like he was gonna cry.

Holy fucking shit. What a game 6 between Denver and Warriors. I really wanted a game 7. GSW is an easier match-up for the Spurs. Spurs in 6.

I was yelling at my TV the entire game, especially in the 3rd quarter when Curry was going off and getting wide-open looks. I think George Karl is a solid regular season coach but with Denver his playoff record is abysmal and not good at making adjustments in the playoffs. This season is a blown opportunity with Westbrook going down. Denver had a legitimate chance to get to the finals. Next year I am not sure they are gonna have the same opportunities if teams in the West are healthier.

I can't believe the open looks Stephen Curry has gotten the entire series. I also don't understand why Igoudala's only assignment wasn't to shut down Curry. As bad as Scott Brooks is he did extremely well against the Spurs last year by putting Sefolosha on Parker game 3 onwards.

If I am the coach, I am putting my best defender on Curry and getting him to shadow Curry the entire game. Just play man-to-man defense and defend him like hell (Sefolosha did this last year with Parker and the series was never the same).

It truly is criminal if you're George Karl and Curry is getting 3-4 wide-open shots every game. You can bet your ass that is not gonna happen with Pop.

Yeah, had they come back they would have won game 7. Igoudala really stepped his game. I didn't think he had it in him. Did you have tickets for game 7?

Does George Karl stay or go? This season should hurt the team and management. Legitimate chance to go to the finals squandered.

Nah, didn't have the tickets. They tried putting up too many threes and they suck at it. I don't know what their percentage was from downtown tonight, but it couldn't have been very high.

I like George Karl. I don't think their shot was that great of going to the finals though with OKC and San Antonio standing in their way. Though once Westbrook got injured, it sure as hell made their shot look a little better.

I was happy the Dubs won, but man what an atrocity in the last 3 minutes of the 4th. That was headed right for a Simmons level 6 loss, it's amazing that they managed to wheeze across the finish line. If they play like this the next round the Spurs will eat them alive.

Del Negro is a tool. The 56 wins is due to Paul. Paul can win 50 games with the Bobcats.

Clippers had the best pieces they can put together. Deep bench, vets, but cant get it done. I believe it was a matchup problem. Clippers could have taken any other team but Memphis. I think the Grizz take the series in six against the Thunder.

I dont see Paul leaving. LA lifestyle is addicting to these players. I dont know why but that entertainment indusrty, weather, laid back culture trumps the police state, high taxes, and all the smucks that live ouh there. Can Paul and Dwight get together for the Clips? I dont see Howard leaving 50M on the table. Dude has five kids haha. Maybe he tries to force a sign and trade. I wouldn't mind Jordan, Bledsoe, Odem and Barnes back for Howard.

It will be an interesting offseason for both LA teams. Fire Del Negro please. I would take Stan Van Gundy.

Del Negro is a tool. He will be gone after this disaster as he should. CP3 is a top 5 player at this point in his career but there’s just something about him that I don’t like.

Clippers did have a good team but I think they were too deep. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy but I agree with Bill Simmons in this regard. They were too deep and they never figured out their 8-9 man rotation that you generally need for playoffs.

I actually don’t see Paul staying with the Clippers. I will tell you why. I have read that apparently Jordan + Griffin don’t get along well with Paul. And Blake has improved but I am not sure he is ready or has the capability to be the second best player on a championship team. But Blake already has a long-term extension signed and he isn’t going anywhere. So what happens? Will be interesting.

I was actually talking with my friend and we were discussing if it’s possible to have CP3, Kobe, and Dwight end up playing with LAL under the new CBA?

On the whole Dwight thing, I have a feeling he ends up in Houston somehow. It’s not $50 million by the way. It’s something like $30 million and what people forget is that ultimately that $30 million is for an extra year of work/play. When you break it down the way it works is any team other than LAL can give him 4 years, $87 million = $21.75/yr vs. 5 years, $117 million = $23.4 million. On a per year basis he will be only $2 million short and provided he stays healthy he will definitely get another good contract. So all of a sudden that “extra” $30 million is not really extra money, it comes with another year on the contract and on a per year basis it’s not a huge difference. Guy is also going to receive endorsements and whatnot regardless of what market he plays in. Houston is better suited for him and they have the 3 point shooters he needs to be successful.

If I am Mitch Kupchak I build around CP3 since he definitely has more talent than Howard and is a much better leader. I trade Howard to Houston for Asik and Parsons (extremely cheap contract). I bet that LAL somehow retools from all of this but LAC returns to irrelevancy.

This early exit by the Clippers is a blessing in disguise for the Lakers. Let’s see if Jim Buss and Kupchak can capitalize.

Grizzlies/Clippers just seem interchangeable... Both very good, not top 1 tier teams with numerous young talent pieces, that will end up around the same record every year
