I can almost guarantee he'd hate it after experience Poland. My guess is that he'd label it the Toronto of west coast.

I would love to read Roosh's account of one month in Los Mangeles after going there "cold".

That could very well be his best work.

I honestly think something like that would catapult Roosh into the mainstream. He would easily become a well known figure, especially on the heels of his Toronto momentum.

Are you reading this Roosh?

The key is that Roosh has to go there "cold" no hook ups, etc

@thedude,

I've been to IOTA a couple of times, but was just there to catch up with a friend so we sat at the tables, and that isn't very conducive to opening anyone else. The ratio wasn't quite as good when I was there though.

Think you can share the other spot over PM? Is it one of those spots that you pretty much need someone in the group who can speak some Korean?

Koreatown is the only district that has something of a 24hr feel to it and a bit of a lawless vibe to it given the plethora of illegal after hours spots, hostess clubs and massage parlors.

Unfortunately I have no great yearning for Korean women.

As for Roosh coming to Los Angeles, I think he eventually has to do it. There are four main hub cities in the game scene. Toronto, DC, London and Los Angeles. He's only missing the last.

I don't know the name of the coffee spot, I'll have to ask my buddy. The servers spoke English though, and I think most Koreans in K-town do.

By the time we were in IOTA I would have opened anyone, was pretty drunk. I've run a lot of restaurant game so I don't have a hard time approaching a table of cute girls sitting down. There was a table of 3 cute girls sitting to our left that I would have opened if I wasn't already talking to the girls at the bar.

However, the two girls we approached were sitting at the bar. It was an ideal setup. Two girls, with two seats right next to them.

I gotta admit, I don't think I could have done it by myself. Occasionally the conversation would hit a road block that my buddy would have to fill in in Korean.

Speak is right on about the lawlessness. We were walking up and down Western ave. ducking into dive bars, getting hammered in public, at one point drunkenly proclaiming, "WESTERN IS LIKE THE NEW SUNSET STRIP!!". At one point we walked into a place that looked brand new, had a karaoke setup, but said "Bar" on the sign outside. We wanted to get a few drinks. The asian hostess greeted us warmly and said, "We are a membership club. $1000 per year." This is in the middle of a shithole stretch of Western. We looked at each other, smiled at the hostess, and left.

I'm kind of tempted to go back to that spot.

I couldn't have put it better than slubu. He killed it there. Alright we can all pretty much agree that LA sucks except for the weather and Mexican food. So what's a good alternative?

Flyover country has no appeal to me. Florida is redneck outside Miami Beach. NYC may be dope but I can't afford it. Vegas? Other than clubs the city is a shit hole. Ever drive off the strip during the day to look around? You ain't missing much.

There are just a lack of attractive cities in this country.

It depends on what you like.

There are plenty of large American cities that have decent nightlife and lots of stuff to do:

Chicago, IL
Atlanta, GA
Miami, FL
New York, NY
Dallas, TX
Las Vegas, NV
San Francisco, CA

There also several smaller cities that are cool and have decent nightlife:

Tampa, FL
Austin, TX
Scottsdale, AZ
Charleston, SC
New Orleans, LA
Charlotte, NC
Boston, MA

^Some of the cities listed above even have a cheaper cost-of-living than Los Angeles, so living in these cities would allow you to save money for trips overseas. I agree with MikeCF that LA is no longer worth it from a cost-to-benefit standpoint. Also, I agree with Slubu that I would only move back to LA if I worked in the entertainment industry. Otherwise, I don't see the benefit of living in LA. More power to people who love LA, but I don't see it. Good weather and decent ethnic food isn't enough of a reason for me to stay in a city.

Of that list, I would think that only Chicago, NY and Boston...maybe SF....for a young single buck in today's world....would be comparable in the amount of entertainment options and lifestyle to keep one busy and entertained on a long term basis as much as LA.

But access to easy, young pussy is also a factor for me and most guys (this is a game forum). I don't want to have to always travel in order to have an easier time getting laid.

For me, the factors I choose in a city are (in order of importance):

1) Ease of getting laid by decent pussy
2) Nightlife options (kind of related to #1)
3) Entertainment options
4) Cost-of-living
5) Lifestyle

I can always travel a few times a year to get to see more worldly stuff, but I don't want to have to save my poon-hound ways for only my travels. I want to be able to get a steady supply of decent pussy with minimal effort even when I am in my "home base."

Been to Brickell and Ft. Lauderdale. I liked both places, and I do like Miami. From what people have told me who live there though, is it gets kind of annoying since its suburbia once you get out of Miami proper. It would be one of my main reservations from moving out of LA...is that on a random weekday week after week after week, I'm going to eventually run out of new stuff to do, which is kind of impossible here.

Coral Gables, Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale are actually out of Miami proper.

I mean how often are you going to party in Downey, Carson or Lakewood when you are in LA?

Don't forget other such great destinations like City of Industry, Bellflower, La Mirada. Heck, maybe spend an evening in lovely Rancho Cucamonga.

I always thought southern california defined surburban hell.

yeah, but Miami is a small area versus LA. This is for the most part, the non-suburban parts of LA.

sure, if you're metric is logistics and young women to bang. but then again, living on the Las Vegas strip at the Vdara ($2k a month) by this definition would be better than living in Miami.

from the criteria listed above:

1) Ease of getting laid by decent pussy- Check+ (Don't know how it can get better than this)
2) Nightlife options (kind of related to #1)- Check+ (Don't know how it can get better than this)
3) Entertainment options- Check
4) Cost-of-living- Check
5) Lifestyle- huge minus (I'd get sick of Vegas after 3 days)

You have to take a holistic look at an area if you are to stay long term, not just strictly how easy is it to bang young girls and how good the logistics are. Overall, "LA isn't bad". Its not pussy paradise, but it affords good lifestyle with decent women that you do have to work on a little.

Not saying its for everyone, but I don't see how after living here I can live in a smaller town. The only choices for me would be NYC, Boston and maybe chicago as it affords a similar lifestyle that I'm used to. If I ever "settled down", no way I could live here. To me, LA is a great place for a single person to live and have fun.

Yes. (actually its Veer, which is next to Mandarin Oriental I guess...still in city center). they go as low as $1700 according to a sign they had up. Its right next to Cosmopolitan, so the logistics couldn't be better.

Vdara has condos at around $350-600k. probably a lot of rentals in those as well.

Another thing about LA girls, continuing what I said: they have this strange passive attitude towards sex. It's like they are so busy enjoying other things, like the beach, cocaine, drinking, working, shopping, DINING OUT, AND DRIVING that making any effort or room for fucking just comes off as a little bizarre to them. Like, "why are guys always hitting on me? Don't they have something better to do?"

Too tired from all that other shit to fuck. And DRIVING, what a hidden energy drain...

They're also trying to come off as "coffee achievers"; people who are trying to accomplish something..too ambitious to "waste time" on sex.. as if they are ever going to be stars...

+1 this.

The real estate market tanked and is still depressed. Lots of people looking to sublet their places at Veer and get out of Vegas. Back when I considered moving to Vegas (2 years ago), I could've gotten a cool spot at Veer for $1,200 a month.

Lots of good deals in Vegas. Just booked Veer for a short-term stay.

Let's be real. Everyone who has lived in LA for a long time knows that LA is small, too.

It's small because traffic and smog are such a bitch that you tend to stay in your hood.

Yeah, I could drive to Runyon Canyon for a nice hike. That could be 2 hours of drive time, choking on smog, so I'll stay local.

In theory LA is big but in practice we keep it small by finding an area we love and not leaving.

Yep.

No social circles. No forum meet-ups with guys who have a harem or rotation or girlfriend with lots of female friends.

Just fly out like another regular guy "trying to make it."

Holy shit would that be an experience.

Thing is, is Roosh would have to spend at least a month here to give an accurate assessment, and that's going out 5 nights a week. Several nights out in each:

Santa Monica
Venice
West L.A.
Culver City
West Hollywood
Hollywood
Downtown
The Valley

Daygame at:
Beverly Hills (this alone would make a hilarious Youtube episode)
Beverly Center
3rd st. promenade
The Grove
UCLA

The big question would be, where to stay? Maybe Mar Vista, right in between Culver City and S.M. That would be pretty central to westside hunting. Or West Hollywood.

I agree no harem hookups but I think hooking him up with getting into clubs should be allowed, be curious to see how he does on your typical high maintenance 8 that's hanging out in an SBE venue. I know we have a few promoters on the boards that could help with that and I've got a few as well.

I think full cold would be more interesting.

I have always thought that LA would be one of the hardest cities in the world for a "cold player" hitting the place for a week.

The chances of taking an "L" are extremely high.

Probably even higher than DC.

Or Toronto.

Wait, could LA be the worst city on earth?

That's just crazy. You know, I never thought about it like that before. I take it for granted since I've lived here for so long, but this place must be impossible for players coming in "cold".

I wonder what goes on in that membership place.

One thing I remember, that I wish wasn't so lawless, was that in almost every Korean joint (restaurant, bar, etc) we went to in ktown, there would be people smoking inside despite the California ban on smoking indoors.

honestly though even if he wrote a scathing piece on the quality of women/nightlife/ease of bang here, I think most people would brush it off like an LA Hipster could only do except if he took some shots at the plumpy mexican girls that are here.
