G good post.

I'd say if one is after UM girls it's best to get at them on Thursday night at Sandbar and Moe's...avoid campus completely...

Blue Martini Brickell is hot garbage. The one in Kendall was hot for about a month when it first opened, then the cougars took over. It was so hot, they damn near put Kafe Krystal out of business, might be worth cheecking out again now...

The strip club game is really all about what type of girls you like, I think we'll need to collaborate and make a thread just about that, I think Merenguero touched on it a little bit in another Miami thread.

Thanks playa. I'm planning to check out your Dominican reccomendations soon.

I've never heard of Kafe Krystal, and it's looks like it's going to be good.

I am going to start exploring more west as in Kendall, Doral, Hialeah.

What's are your favorite bars to hit in those areas?

Kafe Krystal is in a little shopping plaza close to Sunset and 107th.

It pops off on Friday and Saturday nights, there's also a smaller spot next to it called Tabu, IIRC. They have a good happy hour party on Fridays. At that time the place is full of Cuban MILFS, and they play latin music. After 11, the crowd gets much younger and the music is more dance/techno.

Doral has three spots worth mentioning.

One is La Covacha, it's the best spot in that part of Miami, it has inside and outside party areas, it's off 107th and 25th. They used to not ID girls, so you'd run into high school chicks who are always DTF. It is imperative that you get there early, otherwise you'll be waiting in line for at least an hour. I'd say get there no later than 11-11:30.

Next is Macumba, which is off 36th and 72nd. I've been there twice, the club itself is nice, but its new and they haven't figured out how to attract a crowd there yet.

Lastly, the Doral Ale House, which is off 87th and 32nd. I think the Doral Ale House has to best talent you'll find at any Ale House in Miami, the others are in Kendall, Coral Gables, and Pinecrest (across the street from the Falls). You'll find a lot of DTF Colombian and Venezuelan MILFS at the Doral spot. The last time I was there was like a Tuesday and it was packed, so basically you can go pretty much any night of the week and get it in.

Hialeah is ok for strip clubs, not really for partying.

As you can tell, when you go to different parts of Miami, you end up being around different groups of Latinos, so the style of party is going to be different, the music, etc. Allapattah (AP) is the hood, so you can let your hair down, while the other places are a little more snobby.

Has Cameo been mentioned in this thread?

Cameo is the hottest spot on the beach on Saturday nights.

If you're a hip-hop head and planning to visit Miami, you do Mansion on Friday, Cameo on Saturday, LIV on Sunday, thank me on Monday.

Real good.

It obviously depends on the "late 30s/early 40" individual though.

Age is just one of many factors. It is almost like asking "hows the prospects for a brunette guy in Miami?"

Or "hows the prospects for a Asian guy in Miami?"

If he is Brandon Lee, I would say pretty good.

If he is Brandon Flea, I would say it looks pretty bleak.

What is your style? What is your Game about?

Oh hell yeah. I've been meaning to roll over to the Doral Ale House, I always hear good things.

With all your insider information, I think its safe to say i'll be REAL busy in 2013.

Cheers playa.

I think I know what you are talking about.

Can you remember the names of any?

If they are what I am thinking about, they are really hit or miss.

They are completely dependent on tourists, so they are obviously a mixed bag. Could be Red State dorks, German dorks, or Estonian Model girls etc.

Too "crap shooty" for my liking.

I have to do high percentage plays these days.

Unless one of them is super good that I don't know about.

Agreed with G_Manifesto about these bars being hit or miss.

BUT I think they are definitely worth checking out because a huge advantage is that they are so close to each other in proximity that you can just go jump in and out of them one at time in rapid succession until you hit one that has nice girls in them.

The two that I have had the most fun at (that I can remember) are Hotel Catalina on Collins around 17th, and the small bar on the South-West corner of Collins and 14th (I cannot remember the name).

Of course, there is also "The Delano" on Collins around 17th Street. It's not a "small hotel" by any means, but its solid, and so large that it pretty much always has enough people on friday and saturday nights, especially if you don't mind fine women who are a bit older, in their 30's.

Edit: Hotel Catalina has a patio area outside which is right on Collins and gets a lot of foot-traffic, so you can sit there and people watch or if you are into street-gaming you can just jump up and try to talk to girls passing by (even at night).

Guys if you are staying on South Beach do you need to have a car?...

If you are staying south of 17th street, I say no you don't need a car FOR south beach.

However, if you want to see other things in Miami, in Brickell or up in North Beach for example, yes, I'd say you could use a car.

If you're living right in Sobe its not necessary imo. I also work from home which makes a car even less necessary. Everyone uses the public bikes, more than any other city ive seen. There is so much action on the island and a paucity of parking spots.

Its easy to bus or cab to Brickell also, maybe take a cheap $2 bus there and then a quick cab back.

While it may be easy, it's also expensive. You're talking $40 round trip, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt on where on the beach he's staying. Also, Miamians who take the bus do so because they have to, not because they want to, you wouldn't catch me on one.

Yeah, I wasn't including Delano and Catalina in my assessment above.

I think Menace ment the little hotels on Collins between say 9th and 15th st. After Ocean stops and before the big hotels.

The tiny ones with a bar, music coming out and mixed bag crowd.

Menace is that what you mean?

This is relative.

It could also be considered dirt cheap.

In say Southern California, you could easily take a $80 cab ride.

One way.

Or get a $10,000 Dui.

Or Death.

$40 round trip is a bargain.

I was in Miami just once, but stayed in South Beach the whole time. The Catalina was the base of operations and it was good. Small roof-top pool lounge, small patio lounge out front on Collins Ave. Crowd was fun. Bartenders, waitresses, all chill and fun. Post-up at the lounge in front and you will have girls walking up constantly. I believe we hit up the Raleigh, the Clevelander, Mangos, Niki Beach, some sushi place on Lincoln that was good, an Italian place nearby Cameo I believe called Osteria Teatro (met the owner, great guy), and other clubs the names I forget now. Handled one swoop in four days, but swooped her three times. My friend swooped as well, in a delayed fashion. I will be going back.

The Catalina? They had a "reality show" on the CW network this year. Italian place near Cameo; most likely on Espanola Way near 14th St.

The Italian place is Osteria del Teatro

http://osteriadelteatromiami.com/

One of the oldest and best Italian restaurants on South Beach. I have eaten there a few times for biz meetings, however not in a while. Great spot. Great staff. Great service.

Although they don't have a bar so it is not ideal for solo dining.

You're missing out. Lots of cute, young, broke, foreign girls with no personal transportation take the bus.

Honestly, my primary mode of transportation in Miami is a combination of bicycle/bus - and I leave my car parked at home all the time, unless I get a strong desire to drive somewhere. Or have something I can't stuff in my bike pack.

The hell with driving to the beach or downtown - I always spend the most time looking for the parking, then you have to pay for it, too.

I could go on about how I've grown rather fond of not driving my car.

In fact I'm in SoCal right now, and I kind of miss it. Hell, I drove 180 miles across Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, just to visit friends and family. OC->LA, around LA and back...

So much damn time in a car, so much in gas (which I find cheaper than when I fill up in Miami!)... but the roads are nice. Wish I had my car (the one in Miami) here to do some freeway onramp blasting!

but yeah... try taking the bus. You may be pleasantly surprised by what it has to offer.

... alright, gotta go... gotta fill up the car and leave Irvine for Norco right now.

G- Try out Carpaccio in Bal harbour. GREAT ITALIAN, and solid Russian or South American talent usually roaming the shops or grabbing a bite.

I think Fujiwara works around there, he'll second the recommendation.

I'm pretty sure Menace is referring to the restaurant/bars located on Ocean Drive which are attached to hotels. They start around 6th Street and Ocean Drive and continue as you head north. Some of these places are a Fish Called Avalon, Sea Cafe, and Kitchen. I cannot really say that one is better than another. I used to avoid these places. What I now do is start out at the TGI Fridays which is located at 5th and Ocean Drive and take a tour by walking north on Ocean Drive. If girls are sitting on the tables on the sidewalk, they are easy to approach. The last time I was in Miami, I met a reality "star" by doing that. I think she was interested in me, but I didn't get the notch, because people kept bothering her by walking up and taking pictures and asking for autographs. I don't have a lot of patience with that stuff. If a place has no talent, I just keep walking. If a place were completely filled with talent, which I have never experienced in those places, I would sit down and order food or drinks. I never blindly go to those places and sit down because I may be wasting a great amount of time and money and there is no guarantee that any decent girls will walk into the place. Those places are pretty expensive.

In my experience, the best night at La Covacha is Sunday. The place gets really packed and stays open to probably 6:00 A.M. I have been there on a few Wednesdays and although there was nowhere near the volume that there was on Sundays, there was some talent there. They have an open bar on Wednesday.

I went to Kaffe Krystal one time on a Saturday after hearing people rave about it for years. I wasn't too impressed. Maybe I just went on a bad night.
