Beach towns around Sydney?

Gonna be in Sydney for 7 days, but I rather live/stay near the beach for a few days. Any beaches you guys recommend that has girls, night life, and also nice beach.

Bondi, Manly? Others?

Thanks much for any help.

Hey Excalibur,

The beauty with Sydney is that many of the buzziest beaches are in suburbs fairly close to the CBD. Bondi is just a 20 minute bus ride and Manly a 20 mintue fast ferry ride from the city centre.

Bondi, Coogee, and Manly have dozens of bars/cafes/hostels/hotels. Cronulla is also great but 30 minutes from the CBD.

You can walk from Bondi to Coogee in 80 minutes along a beautiful coastal path passing through more beaches - Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly and Gordon's bay.

Sydney get packed with backpackers mid-Dec to New Years Eve, you should book accommodation now.

You would certainly be a novel item if you turned up in Cronulla! Which has girls, nightlife and a beach!

In Manly, Coogee and Bondi you are surrounded by other tourists and assorted folk, and these places are really just considered to be Sydney in general, but Cronulla is more like a country town.

Palm Beach and Avalon are excellent for day game. (not sure about night life tho) If you have a car, go out there, its sweet, apart from Sydney and the people are much nicer too.

This.

Steer clear of Bondi in the day - full of ferals from the west and tourists. Only good for nightlife IMO.

Aussie women seem to get a bad wrap on the forum, from what I've seen traveling, they tend to be pretty damn hot, much hotter on average than American women. That said, I've never had any luck with them or been able to generate much interest. They've always seem a little bit stuck up, bitchy, and aloof. It might also have something to do with the fact that most Aussie guys are pretty damn arrogant/cocky, extroverted and outgoing, and tend to be tall, buff, and handsome, which may make it harder to game the women from an American's perspective. Also, being from the U.S. doesn't seem to be a DHV at all. For some reason my experience with British girls is kind of the opposite, they are really easy, and tend to be feeling me.

Aussie girls can be tough to break down, you need to use booze to soften them, its currently schoolies week here and game on if your in that age group

For us older folk the best bet is RSVP, girls over 45 are like cougars and hanging for action, works a treat

The best bet to bed a aussie girl, is on a aussie based cruise ship , they seem to be more liberal and horny [Image: Strip.gif]

You'll get a better sample abroad. There are more fatties from the lower socio-economic band which can't afford to travel as much.

The thing is, it's a real pity over the last 15 years. When i first went abroad, I came back with a reasonable impresion of Aussie chicks, seeing guys all over the world all putting up with the same sort of shit.

Aussie women tended to be reasonably good looking up to the late 90's, what they lacked in grooming and perhaps the facial beauty of Scandanavia or EE, they made up in good physiques. Sport and outdoor activity was common with both genders.

I really don't know what happened and how they got so fat in 15 years where a majority of school age graduates are chubby or larger.

They are displaying their hypergamy in front of you.

I will give anyone this, Australia has seen near unrivalled economic 'success' for the last 15 years in a global comparison, something that has made us go from the living standards equivalent to 70% of the U.S, to probably 120% of the U.S., barring consumer choice and competition. (and that would be if not recession occured in the U.S).

This has been sold to the public here as Australian exceptionalism.

Everyone under 30, maybe even 35, does not know any better.

It has embdded a great deal of hubris, aloofneess and even arrogance in virtually all Australian youth.

So Aussie women demand higher displays of value because of this. it's just their conditioning to think they start at a higher level than everyone else.

No, just don't play that game.

You've got to win on the exoticness, and you can easily turn it around by attempting to display cultural awareness. Aussie women will readily turn on Aussie men for being uncouth within 2 drinks.

I recommend you give them 4 drinks and anally insert some culture into them.

There is a love/hate relationship with the U.S... and the 'hate' side really only comes from the ignorant proles. Australia is socialists along the likes of Michael Moore.

Where as Michael Moore with decry the virtues of corporates, Australians will conflate that corporatism with its nationalism.

It's what 'makes us better'.

Ignore it, just say stuff like you don't agree with the politics/economics and reframe to you, her, your worldiness and how it can benefit her... if she's good enough.

Throw is a heady mix of alcohol. Australians, if they have British/Irish/German surnames, they are all binge drinkers.

Aussie women are idiots.. come to understand that when they shit test, their attempts are really weak and juvenile, because they really have nothing to complain about.

Most Australian dudes look nothing like the buff tan blond surfers you see in our tourism ads, and neither do the girls for that matter. Our obesity rate isn't much better than yours is, worse according to some sources.

I'm mostly just going off what I saw in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, especially Thailand the Aussie dudes I saw, a lot of them were yoked out, and tended to be tall(er) from what I remember. I guess I was trying to insinuate that perhaps Aussie girls are more critical and superficial when it comes to looks...? Since I've never been to Australia I can't really say, I'm just formulating opinions based on the ones I met traveling.

There were tons of hot Aussie chicks in BKK, Koh Phangan, and Vang Vieng when I was there, didn't have any luck with any of them, although I didn't really try too hard. Like I said, they seemed pretty stuck up, bitchy, etc. I could definitely see how they like to drink and party hard, while I do drink, I'm not really a very extroverted wild party hard kind of guy, so I can't always relate to them on that level.

Australia does seem pretty cool though and I would like to check it out one day, although from what I hear it is really expensive so that may have to wait a while. No diss on the Aussie forum members because they seem like a cool bunch, but with the exception of a few really cool ones, a lot of the Aussies in S.E. Asia just seemed like arrogant, drunken pricks, but that's just my perspective as an American, maybe they thought the same about me.

Australians are rated the second tallest people in the world according to some airline figure I recalls seeing.. after the dutch.

There is quite a dichotomy in Australia with the appearance of the men. Particularly under 25, a lot are either Dorito eatting, soda drinking, warcraft playing slobs, or they look like they go to the gym. There isn't a large middle ground that's for sure.

Then after that, beer guts sink in and they never get a different hairstyle to the one they had at 24. It's funny looking at guys circa 42 still sporting spiked flat-tops.

Melbourne does differ with a large subset wearing mascara and trying to fit into skinny jeans.

The Australian economy has mostly always been in good shape allowing these young, uneducated, naive, redneck, douchebag Aussies to always have some type of decent paying job which allows them to travel and act like the drunken idiots they are with no respect for anything...they are the worst travellers.

LOL, T and A Man, I'm loving your replies, props to you for keeping it real.

As for this... "Melbourne does differ with a large subset wearing mascara and trying to fit into skinny jeans." I'll never forget I saw this pretty boy Aussie guy with his sexy ass girlfriend staying at my hotel on Koh Phangan, the guy (I kid you not) had a fucking bellybutton piercing.

Now I'm a pretty open minded guy, but as an American, I think that is just not something you do as a man, it is extremely metrosexual, and I'd say even past that point, to being full blown gay. It's on the same level as having a tattoo on your lower back. I told a couple of my friends about that and they insisted the guy had to have been gay, but he was for sure there with his GF and she was hot, but I still can't believe dude had that piercing.

Yet places like Mexico, Tonga or Samoa are nowhere near the top of those same graphs... I'd take them with a pinch of salt.

According to BMI figures, Mike Tyson circa 1988 was obese.

It'd also make virtually every rugby player obese, and its the most popular sport in over half the country.

You'd have to see the guys game... he might be a front runner for all we know.

On my last day of uni in 1997, I drank for 14 hours, then got my nipple pierced in Kings Cross at 4am.

It was considered pretty flaming by more than a few, but a lot of chick I knew were into it. It doesn't seem to have the same stigma nowadays.

I felt I was front running in 97.

Ohh god that is fucked.

The only place I see guys wearing mascara is on the steps of Flinders Street station where all the emo and goth "scenesters" congregate for some reason. But Melbourne is fairly hipster compared to the rest of Australia, probably because we're supposed to be "the sporting and cultural capital" or some shit.

T and A is pretty spot on about Aussie girls in the 90s. The Gold Coast probably had close to the hottest women anywhere in the 90s. You still see beachbabes in Northern NSW in places like Byron Bay. The reason NZ is so high on that graph is probably due to a large Maori and Polynesian population, and many of these guys are quite big and buff, true the majority probably aren't. These days if you go to the Gold Coast or anywhere over here for that mater, the hottest women seem to be a more exotic mix or Asian. I wouldn't rate Aussie women that highly to be honest.

For some reason, I was quite popular with Australian girls on the beaches. It was very interesting, I probably looked exotic or something. But when you say "beach towns around Sydney", I mean Newcastle and similar places between Sydney and Brisbane, particularly on the Gold Coast. Bondi and Manly are just suburbs of Sydney and half an hour away by ferry.

Aussie women are probably the fittest women on the planet. I've never been anywhere else where outdoor exercise is so prevalent. The legs you see in Sydney on a warm day, my god.

But then they open their mouths.

Their stupidity/ignorance knows no bounds.

The climate is great, there are still high rates of obesity. In the summer at the beaches it is pretty common to see a good percentage of HB 7s and up. Again not the quality like the 90s. A show called "Paradise Beach" is kind of a good example. What there are is a lot of big booty type chicks, girls that are fit from sports and stuff.
