Let's start with day game:
Retiro Park, Plaza del Sol, Museo del Prado(and around others Museums in general): You'll hit the tourists
Serrano Street and around the Salamanca District: You'll hit the locals
Fuencarral Street on weekends for hitting on all kind of crowds
And I highly recommend you to go to La Latina on sundays afternoon since it's the best day game session you'll ever experienced.
Nightlife
During nightlife, you can find different kind of girls depending where you go out:
Erasmus chicks, chicks with alternative style (that is, not the typical posh girl), latinas and then the posh girls
For meeting Erasmus chicks I would recommend you to go to Plaza del Sol, Huertas, Plaza Santa Ana and Malasaña
Clubs: Joy Eslava, PACHA
and all the bars in Huertas district
For meeting alternative style chicks:
Malasaña, Calle Hortaleza, Alonso Martinez, Gran Via (although this can be tricky by night and avoid C/ montera), and of course La Latina.
Clubs: Junco, 69 Petalos, Shoko
For meeting locals :
Gabana: my favourite although last time I went crowd was younger than usual. But always packed with HBs
Liberata
Fortuny (New owner hired models)
Musée
Try Alberto Alcocer Street, Salamanca District and around Santiago Bernabeu
Clubs with Latinas:
Garamond and New Garamond (new is better), Kudeta
But most of them are in all the salsa bars around Plaza del Sol.
Bars I like: Tomate, Whitby, Eccola, Areia, Castellana DF
Restaurants I like: Lateral (very good spot, try the one in Velazquez or the one in Plaza Santa Ana), Tomate, La cesta.
Finally, if you stay on sunday night, try Serrano 41, you have hip hop session. Usually lot of chicks and very good music (if you like hip hop of course but in Madrid it's the only spot I know putting this)
Here are the main places, of course there are much more but for a short stay I would hit these.
Hope it helps
Enjoy
Excellent data sheet again. It's too bad I wasn't able to really utilize all of it, but here is some more insight I can provide in regards to my experience in Madrid 2012.
Things I Missed Out On
1) La Latina - Tried going to Shoko but they were closed on Wed nights.
2) Salamanca - Supposed to go here but never quite made it due to older sister's decision making.
3) Bar scene in Salamanca - I'm about to criticize the bar scene in Madrid in the next few sections, but I need to mention that I never quite made it to this neighborhood where perhaps the bars could have been better.
Why Bars are the Worst Place to Game Women in Madrid
1) Most of the bars are filled with mainly dudes chillaxing or hanging out with other dudes. Any gal you see is likely going to be with a guy.
2) Lots of generic type "Irish-esque bars" here don't appeal to the local female clientele. Why should they? Though I hate Barcelona with a passion, you'll at least find some posh low key martini or cocktail hangouts in the Gracia district that attract flocks of females in that city. This sort of thing does not exist in Madrid, though it might be in Salamanca which I missed out on.
3) A lot of bars here serve food. But why pay for bar food in Madrid when you can find more chicks out in more intimate tapas based breweries (cervecerias).
4) I can't seem to explain why chicks here don't go to bars.
Best Places to Game Women in Madrid
1) Street game - This includes patio bars where women like to sit outside to eat/drink even in the winter. Ton of them also like to sit on the steps of apartment buildings talking amongst each other. Come up with an excuse to ask them a question about a street, bar, party, or discoteca as they will go extra mile to inquire more about you as a gringo & all.
2) Tapas based cervecerias - Essentially brewery type places with tapas. These places are typically very cost efficient, provide a trendy feel, and can be posh. It attracts the female packs that don't go to the city's typical dude infested bars.
3) Discos - The bad news is that all the discos here charge 10-20 Euro covers as drinks on the inside are just as harsh. The good news is that Madrid seems to be a city with a much more lively club scene than bar one meaning all the local hot chicks will be there...with a fairly outgoing attitude. A gringo who goes to a disco predominantly filled with locals is still going to get love in one of those venues.
Choose Wisely for Discos
1) With discos charging 10-20 Euros and pricey drinks, you gotta pick your venues carefully as the clubbing habit here is an expensive one.
2) On Wednesday night, pick Kapital or Budha Bar. All the other clubs are closed this night as these places are sure to not disappoint Wednesdays.
3) Locals I met make fun of "Joy" because that is where all the gringos there. If you want that special authentic Spanish or Madrilena flag, see #4 & 5.
4) As I mentioned Kapital is a great place despite being in the more mainstream museum neighborhood. Go on a Wed as the ratios will be better.
5) The club scene in Madrid is very scattered meaning the best discos are clandestinely spread throughout the city. These inconvenient locations make it harder for the average gringo to visit each club at which would making things worse for the locals & people like me.
6) Too bad I never got to experience Salamanca or the disco Liberata.
7) Budha despite being far away has some of the most attractive & outgoing Madrilenas. I recommend you guys go there given money is right.
Anymore questions lemme know.
