I'm not going to take the train if I can avoid it simply for time reasons. I don't have any romantic notions. As for accommodations, I don't think Playboy Mansion on the Volga is what's going to work. I think we know the reality of the game. The important thing is that we have members in the same city living close to each other, but otherwise I think it's going to be single occupancy apartments and maybe double occupancy for people on a tighter budget. If it's a bunch of dudes living together it just turns into some kind of pseudo-hostel and there will be too much incentive to just get drunk with the boys, cockblocking, etc. Obviously camaraderie and hanging out together is important, but the main reason we're doing this is to help each other smash fine ladies and live the good life (to the extent it's possible in such a place), not do shots until 3 am.
Yep. The key is 5-6 guys spread out over the city and meeting regularly. Too many and too close together and it could get messy.

Totally agree with you Menace. The thing is for us to have at least 5 or 6 guys.....where we can go out together, watch each other´s backs, get the word spread about us to the local ladies and have an alternating party (different apartment) once a week.

I think come nearer the time more and more guys will drop out. Some just won't be able to make it for financial reasons or logistics or simply because they are not mad enough to move to a shit hole in deepest Russia when they can hit the beaches of SE Asia instead. What I think will happen is that just 3 or 4 hard core and determined hunters will remain amongst us who will follow through on this. We then just need to decide on the city and sort out apartments and we will take the city by storm.
Location: That's going to be a tough one because there is no obvious choice, there are too many. I know people are saying Novosibirsk but my hunch is that loads of foreigners have been before for study or tourism etc. I think we need a large town that isn't on the Trans-Siberian. What about Syktyvkar or Kirov? Bratsk or Barnaul? Maybe the best option is a place in the Urals from where we can hit different towns on the weekends. Personally speaking I don't need cinemas and nice restaurants or museums. I just want a run down shit hole where we will be the only ticket in town. I want us to walk into a club and the place falls silent as everyone turns to stare at the foreigners. From there we will go to work. This is 100% possible to find,I'm convinced of it. I've experienced similar in a Ural city as has Partizan and others,we just need to go and make it happen. The issue has always been boredom in shit holes but that's why if we have a tight knit team we will have each other for support and back up until we have our social circle built up. Once we have our 'in' it will be plane sailing for all of us.
Once I start learning russian Vorkuta, then it is a given that I am going, which I will confirm after going to the Russian Embassy...... when I go back to Ecuador in December. The same should apply to other members...they should make their real intentions known.
But yes, I believe only 3 or 4 guys will actually be able to make the trip. But that is enough for our purposes. And hopefully Brown Bear will be able to lead us to the best city.

I'm up for this but I have no idea what my financial situation is around fall 2013 so i'm not signing up just yet.
If you want a place of the trans sib and away from any tourists then I suggest hitting cities in Far east Russia.
Chita and Ulan Ude are a bit too small but Khabarovsk or Vladivostok will do. You might even capture the North Korean flag there.
But none of you fuckers should hit on my ex GF in Vlad.

For those of you who are experienced in Russia, how much more conservative sexually are they in the smaller towns? The only Russians I've had have been in Thailand, Sweden and the US so culturally they may have been very different.

If you are heading for a little excitement and a sample of the exotic factor, heading to a village is not the answer. Personally speaking, I would not venture into a city under a population of 500,000. For me the mean is between 800k - 1.5m which is enough to ensure that there is some exoticness there. Moscow and St. Peter are the main tourist points in Russia as they were in the USSR. Not many people venture outside of the big two. If you are going to pick, do so wisely.
I was lucky in that I got a glimpse of that while in Ekaterinburg. Being in a social circle of local dudes helped immensely as they knew the score. These guys knew the scene and watched my back in case anything happened. Nothing did but I did end up in some God awful dives frequented by dubious looking individuals. Regarding my nationality, the locals had never seen or met someone from Ireland as the closest they usually get to anything Irish is a bottle of Bushmills/Powers/Paddy or a trip to an Irish themed pub. That said, most of them also thought we were still part of the UK and that we were a bunch of raving alcos who fight alot.
Anyway as a sampler, here is one of the places that I went to.
Podval Art Club located just off ul. Moskovskaya. Cracking little joint and place goes nuts from Thursday night on. Popular with students.

Unless something major happens I am in. I will be checking out visa for Americans next year and post what info I come up with. There is a new 6 month visa that should be in full gear by the time we head out there. Hopefully that is a full 6 months in country. I should have most of my business activities hired out by then. I am looking for adventure so the trains to other parts of the country would be cool. I wonder how registration works when traveling from city to city.

Vorkuta - those prices seem decent, compared with the Airbnb rentals it seems more than doable. I would love to join you bro, hoping to re-locate back to the UK next year.
Partizan - that video was good, excuse my ignorance but I was surprised by the house beats the DJ was playing. The talent does not seem too bad either. I also like the sound of Ekaterinaburg, seems to have the right size population.

How much is airfare from London to these places?
What sort of budget are we talking for say a week?
Easy jet are starting Gatwick to Moscow flights soon. They say the fare will start from £125 return.
Oh this sucks, man. Siberia is going to be ruined in three years.
Apparently there are alot of Russians in London, so they are probably trying to fill the void. Alot of Brits aren't going to visit Russia, let alone Siberia.
Never underestimate how quickly British lager louts can ruin a pussy paradise.

I would not be able to be one of the core team but would be happy to be in the loop and time/logistics permits will come for a week or so.
Regardless, this sounds like a great plan and it would be very interesting to hear how you guys will do there, if you are good wings you will have synergy and get much higher results than going solo, not to mention easiness in logistics, lower costs, safety, mental support and more.
As for the city, I was in Kazan and it fun there (search for my data sheet) but you should be aware that about 50% of people are Tatars which means a bit of Asian look and Muslim religion (though not very strict) so I think if your'e solely into white chicks there are much better options.
