I wrote 30000 euro in the beginning. However euro exchange rate to dollar was fluctuating for the time you stayed there so I could not estimate the amount in dollars(I wrote 42000-45000).

Should be closer to 2k a month since Roosh mentioned $66 a day.

That's some budget living right there! My bills @ 13k per month and spending cash @ 500 a week.

It's $2K. That's damn impressive, IMHO it takes ~$3K a month to pull hard and have fun outside the country. $2K is stupid low, that's barely rent and food for a month in a real US city.

Hats off to him!

Also @ el mech how the hell are you dropping $13K in expenses?! Besides your kids what's the other money for all you need is a place to sleep and a place for your daughter no? Your life is crazier than I thought.

It's closer to $2k/month.

Here's the thing though: I paid too much for apartments (short-term rates). If I got a yearly lease and STAYED in one place instead of moving around, I bet I can easily get it down to $1250/month while living the same lifestyle. In fact my last months in Poland and last month in Croatia and Ukraine was silly cheap. The time I spent in Scandinavia (5 months) does distort the average somewhat.

$2k is the traveler rate when you look for apartments via google.

God damn son! That's cheap shit!

What do you mean by 2K a month is travelers? You saying a 1 month rent was $2K? Or one month traveling is $2K.

But other expenses would go up. You couldn't live as an illegal for years somewhere without the hassles catching up to you.

Thus, a need to apply for and qualify for temporary residence. That means paying for private medical insurance, even if you don't get sick. If you do, expect to pay up for a doctor & drugs for anything beyond a common flu.

If you want a car, then more money for insurance and gas. You may not think you need it, but it's very, very helpful in the long-run.

You'd be right back up to 2k a month or more.

Then, shit happens. Your laptop blows up. A family member gets sick and you need to visit the US in a hurry. You need to see a dentist. You knock up a woman and she has a kid (you do like bareback after all). More expenses.

Living long-term somewhere has costs that you can't purely project from a 6 month "vacation" as a tourist, in my opinion.

Of course, locals live on 880 euros a month, so it can be done. But then, your advantages will dwindle and your life, frankly, will become shittier.

I'm counting business related expenses and property taxes. I spent 23k last year on those catching up. I get nailed for 1k a year for my back yard in extra tax because I separated it from my house. Commercial real estate loan etc..No child support. It really no big deal but when I leave it still clicks away so I can't take long trips. Sucks.

So what does your $66 a day get spent on then? How much on apartment, food, drinks, entertainment, internet and so on?

You must be living like an emperor even with all your loans.
My basic living expense right now is 65usd/month, 30bucks for limited mobile internet and <200usd of spending cash/month, man, I am living truly a budgeted living. My lifestyle is pretty minimal and low-key now.
I bet none of you can beat my low-budget living unless you are in some serious shithole or desolate village.

You need on average 1500 euro per month when you are abroad in EU to live comfortably. The point is that you do not spend only 1500 euro but you also lose income from work when you holiday abroad. So the whole loss is much higher than the 1500 euro.

Yes Kamaki, if you make your living by having a job. If your income comes from investments or by working online, it is all the same.

This is a very good point. When I travel, I lose much more money due to the fact that I am out of my office during that time than I actually spend on airfare, hotel, restauaurants, and bars. The only exception to this was a forty eight hour trip which I decided to take to Las Vegas two weekends ago. I came back much richer due to the fact that some geniuses decided to set the odds of Sergio Martinez beating that clown at 1.9/1 in favor of Sergio. I couldn't pass that up and had to go catch a flight in order to cash in, which I did.

That's not that bad. I think I spend 300 a day down there not living full time
though. Do you think you would have saved if you got a pimp pad with a glass patio you could cat call from? Roosh seems like a pretty conservative dude. I bet if he hung out with us he'd be like WTF?

Right now I am in Georgia living with hosts in a village, you cant pull this off by yourself in a first tier city( I mean downtown Tbilisi apartments are like 400/month for a single), maybe with a host in a 2nd tier city. Yeah, if you go out a lot and go to restaurants, the costs sky rockets. On this budget, day game and bars/free entry clubs are your only options. With this budget, you gotta cut down on your westen amenities, that eating a lot less meat, no imports, drink mainly home-made alcohol, conserve on internet usage, maybe no western toilets or central heating....
I don't expect to spend more 300/month including travel and other expenses. If I was living by myself in a small city, I probably would spend 250-350/month just for living expenses. It saves to live with a host.

Thats real bare bones traveling. If you are getting laid regularly with that lifestyle I will be quite impressed.

$66/day seems like a lot, but breaking it down, that seems fair for a tier 1 life in Europe.
From my own numbers, I figure a moderate tier 2 city life can be had easily for $50/day in the US, and tier 1 in Southeast Asia for $35-40/day.

I can't spend less than $100/day, even in Asia. Well done, but to be noted I think your lifestyle is far different than a traveler who gets even a few months to travel a year. It's not like I'm out at the market buying produce to cook for myself, even when I'm away for an extended period of time. I think for most of us, the biggest difference in cost is eating. Having someone cook for me multiple times a day is convenient but not efficient.
