This should be fun, not a scooter but instead a small electric car for two persons.

Barcelona: Data Sheet

Just spent nine days in Barcelona. It was my 5th time to that city.
My background: My GF is from Barcelona, and I speak fluent Spanish.

I'll repeat what I wrote on another thread a couple days ago -- don't come to Spain to game Spanish women, esp if you're rolling solo. They're tough nuts to crack. If you do get to socialize with them, and if you run some tight game, you'll probably be adopted as a "friend of the group" rather than viewed as a real potential lay. Overall, these women just don't think like that. It's not a player culture, despite being the most visited country in the world. (Or maybe because of it!)

Anyways, it will be particularly hard in Barcelona to get your flag. There are two reasons why:

1) It's 2019, and the city is overrun with tourists. Walk around L'Eixample, Barrio Gotic, Las Ramblas, Barceloneta, and you'll be with 80% tourists. The city has even put a moratorium on all new hotel construction in an effort to reclaim it as a Catalan city. Your chances of meeting a local are very slim unless you go out to a place where they actually live. Granollets, for example, could be fruitful, which is 45 minutes away.

2) Catalans work a LOT. They're workhorses. (That's why some want Catalunya to separate--because they feel they're being used for their tax contributions by the laggards in the rest of Spain, especially in the south.) Catalans are like Americans in that sense. So on a day-to-day basis, a Catalan woman is thinking about the big civil engineering project she's working on, or the big financial analysis due on Friday. She's not walking around twirling her hair and hoping some cute guy opens her on the street so she has something to do that night. It's NOT her mentality.

No ego here, but very often around the world women look at me on the street - I'm tall, blonde/blue, athletic, etc. You know, White God factor. But NOT in Catalunya. These women don't even look twice at me, even in smaller Catalan towns. These people know their own minds.

NOW

I do recommend a Catalan woman for a LTR. She's probably going to be good quality for that, because as a people Catalans are reliable and responsible. But for same-night smashing, go to Colombia, go to Vegas, go to NYC -- somewhere that's more open to new people.

^^ Yeap. Hence why I prefer the more relaxed vibe of Andaluzia to visit. And Sevilla particularly has nothing to owe to Barcelona in terms of touristic attractions and architecture, same with Granada. The locals also tough to crack, but better looking.

Lol I am 6'8/205cm and in Valencia the same happens, they barely bat an eye at me while in other countries they do. I do agree that they are very reliable and helpful.

@Savonarola you forget the most important reasons of all..that Catalans are ugly fucks on average. Quality of local girls is very low in my opinion.
Also about them being good LTR I wouldn't be so sure, they are famous for be stingy and not really family oriented compared to rest of Southern Europe - have you ever noticed how there are a shitload of dogs but not many young kids around Barcelona? People seems to really prefer having a pet rather than starting a family. Also its a very liberal city so girls will have a more liberal attitude compared to rest of Spain - which is already a matriarchy.
Catalans are honest I ll give you that.

@Rocha Seville and Granada are great cities, but both comes below Barcelona overall. I think it might be because they are not by the sea but also because you don't feel that multicultural atmosphere that you have in Barcelona (and all the international flags that come with). Also if you are a party type Barcelona is way better, even though its shit compared to 10 years ago. May/June has to be the best cities to be in the world when you consider the number of musical festivals and climate.

Honestly I have reflected about this a lot and I think Barcelona might be the best city in Europe overall - minus the high rent price, retarded housing law, petty crime and not so good average quality of local girls.

Yeah, the more I travel thru Europe, the more I agree -- Barcelona is probably the best metropolis on the continent.

True, Catalans aren't as pretty as Andalucians, but Catalans are better looking than the Basques. Por Dios mio son feos en país basco. And you're right--Catalans are very honest, and very stingy. They know how to scrimp and save and argue a bill. These are not qualities that scream 'oh please fuck me tonight, you beautiful stranger'. But these are qualities that are definitely good for building wealth and providing support to others in their social circle. They're very practical people, maybe too much so.

Spaniard here. I agree with all the info in the previous posts.
@Savonarola you know a lot about Spain and the people/culture. Los Vascos son feos si jaja.
@Rocha you're right. I'd say the average girl in Andalucia is one or two points higher than her sister in Cataluña. I much prefer Andalucian girls. I'd say they're a little easier, for sure friendlier and warmer.
Many foreigners in Cataluña everywhere, for a foreign guy the chances and the exotic value will definitely be higher outside Barcelona. Think of Lerida/Lleida, Tarragona city, Gerona/Girona but these towns are smaller and have less to offer.
When I go to Barcelona I always go for foreign girls, I don't bother with Catalans, nor Spanish girls.

I would love to get to that part of Spain. The closest I've been to Badajoz was a night spent at a pousada in Marvâo, Portugal.

Some nice pussy in Badajoz, also some Universities, is worth a visit for sure. Copas/drinks are very cheap at the bars (like 4€ for a almost full glass of Martini or Licor de Hierbas), and in the morning you can have a full plate of delicious migas for 2 or 3€...

I was just saying that I've never been to that part of Spain but I've heard good things, the people have the reputation of being friendly and welcoming, the food is good and very affordable, I love the cured/aged goat/sheep cheese from there, there's also lots of history, there's a Roman theater there that it's still being used nowadays. Recently I heard the trains from Madrid to Extramadura very delayed by several hours/people stranded in the middle of nowhere https://www.elmundo.es/espana/2019/01/02...b4683.html
, the Spanish government has neglected that part of the country for many years.

A friend of mine lives in Madrid but his parents are from Extremadura. He told me that he cannot understand his aunts, uncles, and cousins when he goes to visit the family village in that province. He literally has to use a Castellano-Extremadura translation dictionary. (Yes, it exists.)

Just came back from work trip to Barcelona. Couple of snogs, no pull. I have visited Barcelona in the past but decided to move away from Las Ramblas out of my comfort zone. Landed at a hotel called Hotel Boutique Wilson, located on a triangle surrounded by Carrer Del Bon Pastor, Avinguda Diagonal and Carrer D'aribau. Chosen because of the location, because of the reviews and prices. There's about 20 bars and clubs within a 10 minutes walk. Arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday. Places I visited were

- Luz De Gaz: Great atmosphere if you like live music. Thursday, Had an American soul singer plus a live band playing from 1 to 2, then from 2 to 5, dancing to R&B, contemporary music. Primarily older crowd (35+) with quite a few younger adults. Opens at midnight but made the place doesn't get going till 1am. Came back the following night for more of the same. Very relaxed atmosphere. I liked the music and the crowd. Expensive to enter 20 euros with free drink, expensive to drink 12 euros GT.
- Feroz: Hipsterish bar between traverssa de gracia and carrer de tusset. Door control. Dress accordingly. Strong but expensive drinks (same as LDG), 13 Euros for a GT. Good, adult mature crowd that gets going on the improvised dance floor late at night (well more like early in the morning).
- Wonderbar: the equivalent of the american dive bar. Grim and dark. Bar girl was fit though. I stood out like a sore thumb (SE asian looking - think Indonesian, slim, rolling solo sporting blazer and skinny jeans). Dipped in, had a beer, went out.
- Volapie: Carrer de Tuset, 3. Went in because a local promoter said I could get free entry to Bling Bling or Sutton if I bought a drink. i did get my wrist band but didn't go to either. Place apparently turns into a club at some point. There's another club just next door called Smalls.
- Barrokos: Spent my last night there. The least upmarket club I went to. I had a blast. 2 main floors. There were a lot of south american talent but also more mature ladies. Older women talked to me mostly (well I could be older than them, they just looked older to me). 2 dance floors: reggaeton and commercial. You can check the pictures via their website (you will need to create a dummy account, which I did). Strict door control but it gets so crowded.

Other clubs nearby i didn't visit: Sutton, Bling Bling, Costa Breve, Smalls, Fira Villaroel, Soho the Club, Bachata, Otto Zutz and Bubblic Bar.

Some tips:
- Always have a pack of cigarettes with you. I smoke socially and stop after trips like these. Asking for fuego is an excellent opener.
- Learn some Spanish/Catalan words. Just a few should be enough to at least show that you are interested in the culture and get some smiles/conversation going.
- Don't get TOO drunk. I made that mistake and regret it. Catalan people are probably less tolerant to Anglo-saxon jokes especially coming from drunkards.
- Kurt and Gut (a restaurant next to Luz De Gaz) had entry vouchers for Barrokos. 7 euros with a free drink. Try the beef kebab baguette.
- Recommended tool: https://partybeep.com/Clubs/Barcelona

Observation
- People go out very late. No places got running till 1am with peak time being 3am. Then it usually descends into cockfest as groups of ladies move out and thirsty guys move in, kickstarting a vicious circle. Ladies put up bitch shields or just move out. Guys become more aggressive and thirsty.
- Old and young are happy to dance and party together. I have seen less of an age segregation in that area of Barcelona compared to Las Ramblas clubs (Jamboree et al).
- Oh and remember that Uber doesn't operate in Barcelona.
- Very few fat people. I am body guy (not face) and wouldn't mind banging some of the mature ladies I've seen there compared to the land whales we have here in UK. If only I had more time [Image: smile.gif]
- Barcelona is not a vegan/halal friendly place my friend.

Happy to answer your questions if any.

I'm in Barcelona until the end of June, if anyone is around, write me a P.M.

Quality is good (not as high end place in Kiev, but still), the main problem is that Catalan girls are closed minded as fuck (we're not on Italian level of closed mind, but we're not far).
But thanks God, there are plenty of South American girls, who are the most down to fuck girls on Earth (at least here; or at least the most DTF girls I ever met until now).

There are plenty of tourists, but in low season only the weekend is worth it.
City is super expensive, keep in mind that.
Any other question, just ask, I'll reply as soon as possible.

P.S.
I think it's a nice place to live if you can afford, good weather, good food, maybe not the best place on Earth for girls, but life isn't only about pussy.

Compared to Kiev or South East Asia yeah.

But for a major Western European city? No way.
Its way cheaper than London, Oslo, Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich, Milan.
And you get better weather than all those places.

@azulsombra all the places you mentioned have salaries 50%+ higher than Spain really an unfair comparison unless you are fully remote and with a foreign salary. Barcelona is really expensive by European standard, even more than Madrid and Ibiza.

Still the best city in Europe for me overall but having to pay 1000+ euros for a not so good apartment is just retarded considering the local economy.
Reply

Barcelona: Data Sheet

Barcelona isn't expensive by European standards at all. Its way cheaper than almost any similarly sized major European 1million+ population city (as mentioned London/Milan/Paris etc), its only about the same price as second tier cities in lots of Europe - Toulouse in France, Cork in Ireland etc - that are much smaller than it.

I completely understand if its difficult to live in as a local because salaries are low and unemployment is high. But its not really accurate to call it "super expensive" or "expensive by European standards" when most foreigners find it the opposite. Its a bit like a Ukrainian living in Kiev complaining that Kiev is super expensive...which I'm sure it might be for him given local salaries, but it just isn't for almost anyone else. And most people here fall into the "anyone else" category given they're coming from developed countries in the West.

Guys from the US have the chance to stack up cash like there's no tomorrow and/or have high paid remote job making even 100k $ per year...in Europe, even Western Europe, salaries aren't comparable to those in the US... Every white collar job for example is much better paid in US compared to Europe (for example a software engineer in SF or NYC will earn an enormous amount of money compared to a software engineer who works in Germany or in the UK)... There is also increasing unemployment in Souther European countries like in this case Spain but also Italy, Portugal and Greece where the salaries are shit as fuck... A software engineer in Italy for example is lucky if he will make 1800 EUR net per month... Less than 24k EUR per year... Living in a city like Milan or Barcelona it's quite arduous for a local young professional if he wants to rent a centrally located pad close to the nightlife area... Instead Joe from San Francisco will find prices in Europe ridiculously low, for sure since he is making even 5x times the local salary.

There is a huge variation in wages across Western Europe, for example wages in Switzerland are five times higher than in Portugal. You may be able to ball out on 100k usd in some parts of Spain and Italy but forget about it in Amsterdam, Dublin, London or Copenhagen. Upper management and highly skilled white collar jobs paying 100k+ are very common in these cities. Barcelona is somewhere in the middle and is much richer than most of the rest of Spain

It is true that salaries are way higher in America than in Europe, but you have to take into account the "hidden salary". This means, free education, health system, retirement payments... At least, if you get cancer, or other terrible illness that costs tens of thousands of dollars, you don't get ruined. Cons and pros, as everything.
Reply

If you make 1800€ in Barcelona, you'll be living really well, will be able to go out multiple times a week, get a room in the city centre and still travel.
It gets trickier, if you want to live by yourself without any flatmates. Then you'll be paying at least 650 bucks a month just for rent.

If, however, you're fine with commuting, you can rent a house with a garden by the beach for 500€.
Reply

Barcelona: Data Sheet

$650 a month will get you a very shitty apartment in Barcelona, something decent will be 700 or 800 euros at the very least. If you factor in utilities, groceries, transportation etc think another 200/300 euros, so that'd leave you around 700 euros a month to eat out, go out, shopping and travel. You're not going to live very well. Yes, you can lead a decent lifestyle, but forget about balling.

I've heard Barcelona has a few nude beaches. I'm thinking about checking them out. What kinds of crowds go to the nude beaches? If it's just a bunch of gay men, I'm not interested. But if it's 40% female or more, it would definitely be worth a shot.

In Spain we have nude beaches in most parts of the country. I haven't been to any in Barcelona so I can't really help you there but I've been to some in the rest of the country and tbh I saw no stunners, it was mostly normal people and just okay girls. You can see topless girls in pretty much any beach in Spain though.

Barcelona nude beaches are queerer than a $3 bill.
Expect 80% flamboyant gay men, a few straight older couples and a smattering of hippy unshaved lesbians with skrillex haircuts.

You can see plenty of cute topless girls on the regular beaches, no need to bother with the nude ones.
