Laurie Penny: "We need to talk about masculinity"

I really wish feminists would stop pretending they are out to help men, because the same men they free from masculine obligations, they will call "creepy" and refuse to fuck

In the real world, not all men want to be "breadwinners", just like not all men want to be violent, or to have power over women.

I love how being a provider is tantamount to rape.

We still don't have any positive models for post-patriarchal masculinity, and in this age of desperation and uncertainty, we need them more than ever.

Yes we do, they're called kitchen bitches, and you cunts wont fuck 'em!

The problem with these feminists is that they don't know what masculinity really is. I actually don't deny that SOME of them are "in it for the right reasons" (i.e. actually care about men), they can't ALL be complete sociopaths, but their problem is that they're so blinkered by ideology that they don't realize that much of 'masculinity' is biological... Namely, caused by testosterone. I'm sure this author probably WANTS to help, but her problem is, there's just nothing she can contribute of value to the conversation. Men learn to be men from male role models, women learn to be women from female role models. It goes both ways, really. Like if a bunch of manosphere dudes were suddenly appointed as chief feminity educators to all women, we'd probably end up with women who are essentially like prostitutes who don't charge for their services. Similarly if men start listening to these 'feminists who really care about men's issues,' they'll all end up as a bunch of passive aggressive bitchy faggots who serve as therapists to women.

To add to that, when men like Pat Robertson or Bill Bennett (or anyone) actually do tell women what they think femininity is, these women go insane with rage. Yet they think it's OK, for some reason, for women to school men on maleness.

This author isn't really taken seriously by anyone anymore. I am not sure if I have seen it posted here before, but here is a short video of her being publicly humiliated by an intellectual better:

It isn't "a country torn by recession and struggling to adapt to social change, men and boys are feeling lost and powerless" Its men being under constant attack, belittlement, harassment, persecution by feminists.

"Their real problem is that women are no longer forced to trade a lifetime of resentful sex for financial security."

That the state takes their money off them at gunpoint via taxes to secure fat, slutty single mothers financial security.

"There is no creature more loathed and misunderstood in modern Britain than the single mother on benefits"

Try being a white tax paying male

"The big secret about the golden age of "male providers" is that it never existed"

Of yes it did, and it still does.

Hey! BOOK NEWS! The second edition of ‘Bitch Doctrine’ is out, it’s got tons of extra essays and a new introduction, it’s epically better than the first edition and you should give a copy to all your comrades.

I grow so tired of the hypocrisy. Women always accuse men of "mansplaining" but feel perfectly justified in "femsplaining" like this. It's really a monologue they want, not a dialogue.

Or, they are so compelled to "shit-test" all & sundry.
That even when they don't have a real man in their lives, they still feel compelled to "shit-test" someone / something.
