GGG at -175 at Bovada looks solid. Maybe throw in a partial hedge for Canelo KO if I can get good odds on that once the props start trickling out. Even so, I'm hoping GGG knocks the soul out of this ginger in "Big Drama Show" #2.

I am so unbelievably fucking hyped for Fury v Wilder, like I don't think I've been this excited for a sporting event since i was like 10 years old. The best part is that even though I'm a huge Deontay fan and want the windmills to wax the gypsy king onto the canvas, either man as the winner will be so unbelievably entertaining. If Deontay wins, American Heavyweights are fucking back baby, and in the public eye I feel like AJ is going to slip to #2 as his steady ducking and ridiculous stoppages (takam, come on) and referee favoritism (wouldn't ever let Parker get inside) make him look like the manufactured product he is.

I don't think I'm going to be able to handle it emotionally if Fury surprises absolutely no one and pulls out with some bullshit excuse, but for some reason I just don't think that's going to happen. Like it's SO PERFECT. If Fury had the 6+ months of training/preparation he so clearly needs and any normal man would take, he could tell himself he has plenty of time to prepare, get relaxed, get distracted...and we all know how bad that is for him. But this, this - way too little time to prepare for the biggest fight of his life? That’s straight up goddamn gypsy king territory.

It's honestly guaranteed to be such an entertaining fight. There's no way deontay doesn't absolutely go for broke in 10-12 if he’s down on points, and that’s gotta lead to either a wilder KO or at least a fury knockdown.

And also tbh watching tyson work that rope and dope on wilder should be super entertaining. Getting to see if fury can matrix style duck those atom bombs we know deontay is gonna go for early and often will be awesome. If tyson is as woefully deteriorated and unready as the naysayers believe and the supporters quietly worry, he’s definitely getting knocked the fuck out in the first 5. However, i feel like deontay has never ever fought someone remotely like fury (like ortiz also had a massive boxing technique/iq advantage on deontay but - and i could be wrong - i feel like he was a very different sort of fighter than the sly, crafty gypsy (king))...i mean few have, but ive long thought that deontay honestly would have a better shot against AJ, who might try and go to war with deontay, than fury, who on the other hand I feel like AJ, who fury doesnt have a huge pure “boxing” superiority to, would take care of fury handily

Best of all? If Wilder beats Fury and Joshua still refuses to fight him, it just becomes beyond obvious to everyone that AJ is ducking.

I keep having terrible luck with bad connections and viruses up the ass with those bootleg feeds. Just put some more on GGG at -150 and under 11 1/2(!) at +200 this weekend, so figure I'm just gonna shell out for the entrance fee to whatever bar is showing it nearby.

Quite the fight!

Canelo ends up coming up with the win against GGG.

What do you all think?

I wanted GGG to win, but I'm good with it. It was a very close fight. I think GGG got robbed the first time, however I think the reason for Canelo not looking as good the first time wasn't because of Canelo's ability, but rather, he gave GGG too much respect and had a fight plan that was conducive to him looking not as good in the fight.

Civilize the mind but make savage the body.

GGG got clearly robbed in this one, but that had always been a potential risk if he couldn't knock Canelo out. There is no way Canelo won that match though. One judge gave Canelo the 12th round as stated in the post-match interview with Kellerman - that's the 12th round where Canelo got rocked with a smacking right uppercut from GGG as well as taking all kinds of punishment. It was his worst round, the whole pub I was watching was cheering loudly thinking GGG would even knock him out then. Yet that judge watching the same fight thought Canelo won that one??? No wonder GGG and his crew went straight to the change room. Everyone around me even the Mexicans thought Canelo lost, and we were all shocked.

The boxing itself was pretty damn good. I thought both boxers had great techniques and power, good combos, excellent defense and great chins, which made it a very tight fight. GGG had a far better jab, which troubled Canelo for many rounds but kudos to Canelo for keeping up with his combos and making GGG work hard.

The stupid corrupted judging really ruined it for me.

I bet on GGG and had it 7-5 to Canelo. Not sure what everyone else was seeing :o

I don't mind the decision (it also could have been a draw, or a victory for GGG). However, I can understand GGG frustration, there's no way he lost the 12th round, and he felt he was robbed in the 1st fight.

I'm not sure what GGG strategy will be if there is a 3rd fight. Trying to KO Canelo is difficult, and winning a decision is almost impossible (Golden Boy Promotions will continue to do everything to protect their Cash Cow).

Golden Boy always has at least 1 judge on the payroll, especially if it is a Canelo fight. This time it tilted the bout in Canelo's favor.

Look at the first fight vs GGG, one judge scored it 118-110 for Canelo, which was drastically different than the other two judges scores.

Even in Canelo's loss to Mayweather, which should have been unanimous since Mayweather dominated that fight, one judge scores the fight as a draw when it was anything but that.

I thought Canelo won.

GGG looked gassed, trying to grasp for air every-time he went to his corner.

GGG also looked more beat up than Canelo did. G looked bruised up.

GGG relied mostly on his jab, even Abel Sanchez told him to change it up and not rely on his jab and throw more combo punches.

Canelo was criticized in the last fight for "running" like Mayweather. Well in this fight Canelo was the aggressor which is unusual for him and had GGG on the defensive which I feel was the deciding factor in such a tight fight. I absolutely loved the way Canelo kept going forward as he was taking hard shots to the face not backing down. Any other boxer would have been knocked out there. Says a alot about these guys' chin.

Canelo landed more punches to the face, body, liver, etc... overall. While GGG mostly landed jabs to the face, and Canelo still looked relatively clean from the face except the cut on his eyebrow.

And absolutely Canelo won the 12th round. When I saw the Lederman guy give the 12th to GGG, I thought he was joking. I came away thinking Canelo won that last round.

Overall it was a great fight. Canelo was the deserved winner.

People say that GGG was robbed, but almost always in a tight fight like this the judges will always give the fight to the A side which in this case is Canelo. If anyone remembers Marquez vs. Pacquiao, when it got to the scorecards they always gave it to Pacquiao. It took Marquez until the 4th fight to finally knock Pacquaio out.

Same with Mayweather
Same with Pacquaio
Same with any A-side fighter.

I'm not saying its right, but its just the way it is in boxing.

This is spot on. That's exactly why Canelo won. Has nothing to do with A sides.

Lederman is a a horrible scorer and totally infatuated with GGG. Ignore him.

Personally I scored a tie, but I don't disagree with giving Canelo the edge for the aggressive approach and harder hits amounting to more damage. Rabbit punching jabs with no follow ups are not worth as many points as people make it out to be. This isn't a Tae Kwon Do match. Those same jabs would not have scored well in MMA either.

Judging isn't an exact science but when you fight you are rolling dice with certain strategies when you have no idea what certain judges are looking for when they score the bout.

Draw or a narrow victory for Canelo. GGG isn't what people were making him out to be, record is full of nobodies and the decent fighters like Jacobs pushed him very hard. As I've said all along Ward would have beat him convincingly.

Lost both sides of my bets so I'm pretty sore about that. This fight was much more of a draw than the first, so I guess that translates to a Canelo win in Vegas. I'm seriously wondering if GGG will even come out for a third match with Clenelo - age is setting in and Alvaroid's admittedly great chin is going to keep GGG from almost any viable way of victory. When the odds are that stacked against him, I don't know if he'll play along... even for a big payday.

Huh I'm going to have to rewatch the 12th round, because as a casual fan I really thought GGG had that round

I thought GGG won this one easily, just like the first fight. He won't win against Canelo in Vegas. It's also the same reason Joshua will probably not fight in the US, a number of body shots and head shots that Canelo 'landed' were hitting GGG's elbows or gloves. rewatch the fight and you'll see how everytime Canelo goes for the body shot, GGG tucks his elbows into his body. Most ex pro champs I've seen called it for GGG. Over the 2 fights, only 1 scorecard out of 6 from the judges gave the fight to him. Kellerman was riding Canelo's dick all the way through the fight.

It was a great fight though and both of these guys have iron faces. Was great to watch and next time you wanna watch boxing guys just lookup buffstreamz [Image: wink.gif]

Ward fought in a higher weight class and finished his career 2 weight classes above. You're not comparing like for like.

The timing of this fight is what edged it Canelo's way. If the fight had been made back when Canelo willingly gave up the belt rather than face GGG who was his mandatory challenger at the time I think we would have been looking at a different outcome. Sad to say but no boxer can beat father time and GGG is now on the slide.

Joshua this weekend against Povetkin, get his mandatory out of the way.

Lomachenko's next fight against Pedraza has been set for Dec 9th. Brilliant, love the way Lomachenko boxes, both the WBA and WBO Lightweight straps are up for grabs.
