I doubt men back in that time acted like feminine gays do today. Men during Roman times actively engaged in homosexual behavior due to being away from women. Many men and women were bisexual during that time period.

I do not have a problem with gay men and women like some people do on here. The problem I have is leftist SJW's claiming them as part of the oppression of people. Its only a matter of time before people wake up or they start to eat each other like piranhas.

The manosphere doesn't "hate" gays per se. It's actually the left that's filled with hatred of groups without bothering to see the individuals within those groups.

What most of the manosphere despises is the media's attempt to make the aberrant seem normal. A big way that they do that is by using gays as pawns in their larger effort to trash Western values.

To make matters worse, they hold up gays (and lesbians) as some sort of moral barometer of what's right or wrong. This is in direct contrast to the morality put forth by most every religion. Again, this breeds resentment. How could it not?

Most people wouldn't think about this subject at all if gay culture and characters weren't shoehorned into virtually every form of media. Gays and lesbians make up about 1-2 percent of the population, but judging from how much we hear about them, you'd think it was 25 percent or more. People who are savvy to the way media influences cultures pick up on this and don't like it.

As for why humans in general don't like gays, it's because we're here to reproduce and it's in our nature to not like humans who are unfit to do that. We instinctively see these people as weakening (or halting) the development of the human race.

This also includes cripples, dwarfs, the mentally retarded, etc. Humans instinctively recoil when we see fellow humans who we feel are damaged. Fat women fall into this category as well, but to a lesser degree.

All of this goes beyond the so-called "learned prejudice." Babies will cry when they see a deformed people and kids instinctively gets weirded out when they see two men kiss, even if they don't know anything about gays.

That leaves one mystery: Why do we like lesbians? Actually, we don't. The lesbians we usually know in real life (the school gym teacher, etc.) we mostly don't like because they often act like nasty men in women's bodies.

It's the media's (fantasy) portrayal of sexy lipstick lesbians we like. The main reason we like it is because we get to see hot women in a state of hypersexuality, which -- again -- is an instinctive thing people like, especially men. It's the performance. Real life usually isn't as much fun.

I would not accept Jack Donovan at all in the manosphere, simply because he is gay. From what I understood - a huge part of Alt-Right leadership were suddenly masculine gay guys which is really strange.

Sure, you might very well be right. I don't know too much about him but I think wheter or not one would accept him in the manosphere is for another discussion.

Topic here is why men hate gay guys. And the argument was made that it sort of can be related back to our human history and why males that displayed weakness and faggot behaviour weren't an evolutionary advantage for anyone else in a tribe.

I don't hate them any more than I hate alcoholics, and as with alcoholics I would never accept that their lifestyle is healthy, normal, or should be taught as a valid alternative lifestyle.

At least alcoholics occasionally recognize they have a problem and I've rarely heard one recommend or promote their way of life.
