Dallas woman allegedly ruins $300,000 worth of art on first date with lawyer

Authorities said Lindy Lou Layman, 29, tore down several paintings and poured red wine on some while yelling obscenities after she got too intoxicated on a date with prominent Houston trial lawyer Anthony Buzbee.

Lindy Lou Layman, 29, was arrested Saturday on criminal mischief charges after her date with Anthony Buzbee. She was released on $30,000 bond. Online court records don’t list an attorney for her.

Prosecutors say Buzbee, 49, told investigators that Layman got too intoxicated on their date, so he called her an Uber after they returned to his home. Buzbee said Layman refused to leave and hid inside the home, and that when he found her and called a second Uber, she got aggressive.

Authorities said she tore down several paintings and poured red wine on some while yelling obscenities. She also allegedly threw two $20,000 sculptures across the room and shattered them.

The damaged Warhol paintings were each valued at $500,000 in court documents.

Nobody's mugshot looks good, especially after a long night of heavy drinking. Those zits are the only bad look, and they can get covered with makeup.

The backstory here is more interesting than the story. The guy, 20 years older than her, takes her back to his place and at some point she goes drunk psycho. Bad game or Crazy Hooker?

I assume, based on that goofy smile from her mugshot, that she took an anti-depressant or tranquilizer before or during the date and the alcohol didn't mix well with it. She appears to have still been as high as a kite when they took her to the pokey.

Those spots are probably from the “pickin’ Pox.” It’s a condition that tweakers develop from picking at various spots on their bodies while under the influence of meth. (BTW, its not really a condition, it just severely damaged skin that results from picking and lack of good hygiene.)
