I've been kicking around the idea of moving to BKK to change it up from PI for a couple months, but your post is the exact reason I'm hesitant.

Here in PI I've become so used to having fun, long, USA level conversations with girls that I think I'm taking it for granted. We can joke about anything from entertainment, sex, religion, our cultures, people walking past, they understand sarcasm, etc. It makes the time between banging fun.

Also, it seems from many of the posters find the girls are far more reserved and shy compared to Filipinas. Here in PI I've had at least 25% of the girls here mention/talk/joke about porn on the first date. And these girls have been to college and have good jobs, they aren't bar whores. I banged some Thai girls long ago on a previous trip, but none where as good in bed as the Filipinas I've been with.

To some of you guys that have lived both places - are Filipinas just more fun and better in bed, but generally Thai girls are hotter? Is that the way you see it? Obviously there are tons of Filipina stunners, but on average Thai girls do seem a bit hotter.

Filipinas are not more fun or better in bed. I say it is a toss up. I am happy with both in this area.

The average Thai girl in the street or mall is better looking than the average filipina. However I have banged better looking girls in Manila because I have access to 100% of the girls because of english. You might see lots of hot thai girls but only a small % have enough english skills to game properly.

How long does Thai usually take to pick up in terms of grammar and script? I think if I ever go there I'll want to learn some of the language.

Yeah chances are most girls wont be talking about anything of substance, and most times you will have to bring up most topics of conversation.

at least 6 months + and that's if your a fast learner (can be stood corrected), I have friends going to language schools and struggle to grasp anything but the basics. Its a tonal language so I think westerns struggle more with learning Thai.

I do have two friends who speak Thai to a very good level, took one 2 years living with a thai girl (no lessons) and hes pretty good. Just sharing my personal experiences here. Took me 30 approaches to find the first girl that do not speak English this year. Outside of the tourist areas. Could be coincidence, a too small sample or whatever...

My Thai is far away from being good, but cant be too bad neither, as I usually get the right responses. Most language schools are pretty intensive, which means 2-4 hours daily plus homework. You should be good for basic conversations after 2 months. Which is insane compared to other languages... and might finally be able to learn from conversations. The big problem is, that you really need 1-2 months of daily learning, because you cannot see any real progress. So if you are just planning to study 3-4 hours a week then you will probably just get frustrated and give up after a few months.

How do you guys deal with all these stupid hard-to-get-games that the women are playing? Like being really unresponsive and not being able to find a day to meet, not even showing any interest. Best example: I gave my FB name to a girl that I met on the street and when I did approved her I could see her last wallpost like "so excited!!!! meet a nice guy with such a white skin and he even lives close to my place". Minutes later she did delete it including the responses, but too late. I kept my mouth. The very short conversations are going nowhere, especially as Mrs. Iphone-Addict needs half a day for any response. So what is the right thing to deal with these situations without acting needy? Just waiting does not really work out neither, as I wont have any interest to meet here in 3-4 weeks. Seems to be a pretty typical behaviour and something they are learning from the soaps.

Might be the only way to deal with this, even though it can be pretty annoying and you will loose a good percentage of the best girls. The problem that I have is that this "princess bitchface" is pretty common, especially for the hotter girls. Not a big surprise if you look at the soaps here: This kind of girl is always the star and gets what she wants, while the honest and straight forward girl will loose at the end.

This way it took up to four months to meet some chicks and some I still have not seen yet. I am not talking about needing a few hours to reply. More like a few weeks and sometimes even months! That means that you need to invest a lot of time in meeting lots of hot women, because otherwise you will be left with your other options that are simply not as good.

I found that Thai girls are way more focussed on a stable relationship and if they are already busy with a job and a social life, then it will be really hard to meet them. normal Thai girls are not playing hard to get usually (they are too stupid do to that), only the bar girls do it. They do that because they have the power and will see another customer and flake on you.

Most thai girls that farangs o deal with want him as a BF unless they have many "bfs" sending them money, then see statement above. A normal thai girl is usally going to be very clingy. The whole "up to u" and "its okay if you not speak to me, good bye", is just there submissiveness (not to be mistaken for playing hard to get). You can take some thai girls out on a date and some with bring up 0 topics to talk about, you have to do all the work. On a western date, you would assume the girl doesn't care or is playing hard to get, which is not always the case. Thats just how most thai girls are.

I would say it's the opposite as far as your trophy observation, there are so many young and attractive Thai girls in Bangkok that it's absolutely the man who is in charge. They hold all the power. It's why Thai women are crazy jealous, because the men have so many opportunities to cheat. From my own experience, Thai girls don't seem to have a problem fucking someone else's boyfriend. If they play hard to get, I'd imagine a average looking Thai dude from a decent family would have no problem replacing her.

There are much more different girls than bar girls and stupid normal girls here in Bangkok. Maybe this answers your question why I go for a certain kind of girls. I am talking about girls with life experience. Girls that have been abroad or love to travel. Girls who are educated and are earning their own money. These girls do not need to be clingy, as they know that they have a higher value then most men anyway. Usually they are complaining how childish most thai men are.
Unfortunately it is a very polarised society. If you are good looking and coming from a good family, then you can gain these personalities. If you come from a poor or average city, then it will be very hard to be able to develop an interesting personality, as there wont be much time for personal interests and developement beside the busy work and study life. But of course, there are lots of exceptions, just like always.
So I think rather than complaining on how boring Thai girls are, one should focus on spending time with the cool ones. What is the deal on sitting 2 hours in a café with a girl who does not have more questions than “did you eat already”? In this case just let them come to your room via TF or pay a hooker, as this will safe lots of your time.

I was privileged enough to get the worst cold shoulder of my life (albeit not THAT bad) courtesy of a Thai girl, and I wasn't even attempting to hit on her.

I was in Thong Lor, at the end of my street and the intersection of Sukhumvit 55, and I needed directions to somewhere. I saw this girl sitting down on a bench looking at her phone. I walked up and asked, "Hey do you know how to get to wherever it was I was going," and she looked up at me, didn't even say a single word, shooed me away with her hand, and immediately went back to looking at her phone in her lap. I stood there in awe and asked again if she could give me directions, which she ignored and continued to stare at her phone. I mumbled something under my breath and called her cunt, which I'm sure she didn't understand, and walked away. I was totally blown away.

I was trying to figure out why she acted like that, and the only thing I could come up with was that she had seen me bringing dozens of girls back to my apartment over the past two months and was horrified of being associated with me and labeled in a negative way.

Many Chinese Thai went to university.

My personal favorite are half-thai, half-european girls who grew up in Bangkok and went to international school. They combine the usual Thai sweetness and femininity with a perfect english and a European mindset. They are oftentimes interested in similar stuff as I, making it easy to have a meaningful conversation with them. Plus, most of them are super hot. One of the prettiest Thai girls I have ever met is half-swedish.
