The one asian/white mix that i havn't seen problems with is the White/Filipino mix. It might be because they come out looking hispanic.
Race mixing is already prevalent Filipino culture. The Spanish very rarely brought women with them on their conquests, and were very open minded about fathering children with the locals wherever they went. Many children were sired of various combinations of local Malays and Spanish.
When the Spanish first arrived, Chinese merchants played a large role in the commerce of the Philippines. In order to avoid competition from foreign influences, the Spanish gave the merchants an ultimatum that if they wished to remain in business, they must renounce their Chinese heritage and marry with the locals. Many of them did, and produced children of Han and Malay descent.
Over the following centuries, couplings of diverse lineages took place. Towards the end of their governance of the Philippines, Filipinos of mixed ancestry had built up wealth and influence, gained high levels of literacy and formed a burgeoning middle class within their society. Eventually they helped overthrow Spanish rule, and began agitating for independence, which was secured in 1946. When the Philippines became an independent state, the Illustrados (the multiracial leadership) assumed the role as attorneys, statesmen, business leaders, and celebrities.
To this day, most politicians and celebrities have a mixed race appearance, and feature prominently in pop culture.
Because the elite of their society are mixed race, they are highly regarded. Children of mixed couples are accepted, perhaps even aspired to. The levels of mixing were so prevalent, many questionable family rumors of mixed ancestry run rampant: "Oh look, your baby's got a pointy nose, maybe that's from your Spanish great great great grandfather on your mom's side."
To a poor Filipina, having a mixed baby is a fantasy, she loves imagining giving birth to a future Anne Curtis. But I
have noticed an underlying hatred of Filipino guys among some poor Filipinas who had their heart broken at a young age. They will brag that they don't date Filipino guys. I would stay far away from these kinds, there is usually a lot of emotional baggage involved.
The middle and upper class attitude to mixing with whites is in my opinion, apathy. Being white is nothing special to them, in fact it can be a negative if you fit the stereotype of a backpacker or a player. If you can avoid a lot of those negative associations, avoid PDA, and show some enthusiasm for their culture, their circle is more accessible. You're still most likely to the land the washed up ones, though.
