It isn't like that, not even a little bit. I can tell you've only seen the US on TV, and have never actaully been here.

The united states is the only country in the world that has no limit- freedom of speech - the 1st amendment.

If they fuck with the 2nd amendment, its only a matter of time they go after the 1st. How will you defend yourself if they do?

Without the 2nd amendment, there is no 1st!

It seems the shooter might have posted on 4chan on the eve of his shooting, according to at least one media outlet. Ofcourse, it could be a prank/troll.

Quote:Quote:

WARNING MESSAGE FROM 'SHOOTER POSTED ON EVE OF OREGON CAMPUS RAMPAGE FOUND ON ONLINE FORUM'
A warning message from the shooter who opened fire at an Oregon college allegedly appeared on an internet forum last night.

The message, which was posted anonymously on bulletin board 4Chan, read: 'Some of you guys are alright. Don't go to school tomorrow if you are in the northwest.'

The message continues 'happening thread will be posted tomorrow morning. so long space robots.'

The alleged post is no longer visible on the website - the cached version was first posted on Reddit after the shooting.

'Will post again in am, 10 min countdown. Won't say more to much to prepare,' the post continues.

Under the disturbing message several users advise the poster on the best ways to kill people.

One user wrote: 'I suggest you enter a classroom and tell people that you will take them as hostages. Make everyone get in one corner and then open fire.

'Make sure that there is no way that someone can disarm you as it it possible. I suggest you carry a knife on your belt as last resort if someone is holding your gun.'

While another user wrote: 'You might want to target a girls school which is safer because there are no beta males throwing themselves for their rescue.

'Do not use a shotgun. I would suggest a powerful assault rifle and a pistol or 2x pistols. Possibly the type of pistols who have 15+ ammo.'

Dailymail.com can not verify the authenticity of the message.

That 4chan thread is crazy. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there is a copycat shooting, or multiple.

This will be used against 'online hate speech'. Not guns, but they will go after online communities now. Timing suspicious with the whole Zuckerberg censorship thing. Yes, conspiracy, yes, suspicious though.

When I graduated from high school, I thought I had made it through the most dangerous moment of my life. Social outcast psychopaths who go on mass shootings usually do it in high school, as this is, in most cases, the peak moment in their lives for social pressures, anxiety, and being a victim of bullying and general harassment which would push their weak mental stabilities to break.

Now it seems like this is more common on college campuses than regular schools. At least within the last couple years.

Because men and women used to grow the fuck up after highschool but now you have a bunch of perpetual children. They may be in college but they have the emotional capacity of a 12 year old. The only difference is they are old enough to drink, vote and own a gun.

A man who is not capable of waging lethal violence on those who would do him grievous harm sucks at being a man and, is in fact, short-sighted.

I don't carry a small revolver in my pocket to feel safe. I carry it because I realize that human beings are animals too and a small percentage are rabid, feral creatures with no regard for others. If I have the misfortune of encountering one of these misfits I want the ability to fight on equal terms rather than just die like a bitch. A gun's no guarantee but against someone else with a gun, it's definitely better than a pointy stick.

I think they seriously need some sort of Big Brother program for junior high schools, high schools, colleges where a guy goes around to classrooms and his job is just to say hey "do you feel like you don't fit in or just don't enjoy school life? Shoot me an email let's grab a hamburger on me and talk". And the guy's sole responsibility to organize events for disenfranchised guys, take them on hikes, dirtbikes, martial arts lessons etc.

This same dude should be responsible for letting school administrators know when a kid seems a little too off and needs a psych evaluation or his meds checked.

These sorts of guys won't join sports teams or social clubs on their own easily because they don't have the confidence to deal with girls or ball-breaking guys.

I bet the Germans and Swedes sure are happy that the gov't took away all their big, bad, nasty guns. Now Merkel is laying out the welcome mat for 1m Syrians and they can't do f*k all about it.

As they say, "After every act of terror, we are told we should not judge all muslims based on the actions of a few. Isn't it time the 80 million gun owners in America get the same treatment?"

While freedom of speech is important, I am in favor of a publication ban on the perpetrator of any spree shooting in the interest of public safety. It would be no different than a publication ban on a minor's identity in court cases. Cutting off the 15 seconds of fame will go a long way towards reducing these shootings.

That sounds like a good idea in theory, but realistically in a high-profile shooting like this one, it would be nearly impossible to keep the shooter's name a secret. Especially, once it becomes politicized, somebody will almost assuredly leak the name to gain either publicity or money (this is how TMZ gets most of their information).

I agree that there is no way to completely hide the shooter's identity. However, it would be easy to keep the person's name out of the national news by instituting strong financial disincentives. To illustrate, I bet you can't tell me the name of the girl who accused Patrick Kane of rape.

TMZ would not publish the shooter's name (or even bother to acquire it) if the publication would cost them 10x the money they'd make from doing so, in addition to criminal liability for those who made the decision to publish.

Well you can probably guess where this is going...

Quote:Quote:

One student, Kortney Moore, 18, told News Review-Today that she was in her writing class in Snyder Hall when a single shot came through a window.

Moore said she saw her teacher get shot in the head, apparently after the gunman came into the classroom. At that point, Moore told the newspaper, the shooter ordered everyone to get on the ground. The shooter then asked people to stand up and state their religion and then started firing, Moore said..

Another convenient distraction for Obama's complete failure in the middle east which was dominating the headlines until now.

I'm not here to defend 4chan, but a real journalist would have done some research before posting such nonsense and realized that it's the website's 12th anniversary. The party hats aren't for the shooting.

School shootings are fucking horrible.

Genocides committed by governments are much worse.

Don't tell that to the dumb libtards in this thread; they think it's all gun's fault. They're kind of like the people who thought making drugs illegal would mean that no one would use drugs.

Also, I love how many Eurotards in this thread are forgetting that German wacko who massacred 100+ people flying a plane into a mountain. Yeah, America has problems because of "guns".

People always find it strange that I always carry a gun no matter where I go. When I went to Miami Dade College they had a "No Guns" policy and I still carried my 9mm glock ankle holstered and concealed. I have noticed every time I have a gun I never need it, so I always carry it so it will never be necessary to have it.

Some poor student, focused on his Organic Chemistry exam was killed today- he woke up this morning and never thought it would possibly be his day to die. That student never was or will be me, always carry men-Always!

You, sir, are awesome; plus, packing heat may not only save your life, but someone else's life. The thing is that people who are armed and law-obeying citizens end up protecting all of us and we should all be grateful. Criminals will always exist; let's limit the damage they can do.

Gunman was 20 years of age and said to have been shot dead by police after gunfire exchange.

Quote:Quote:

Officers and the gunman exchanged fire at the Roseburg campus. The shooter was a 20-year-old man, according to Oregon Gov. Kate Brown.

"It's been a terrible day," said Hanlin. "At this point, it's a very active scene. It's a very active investigation."

A law enforcement official told CNN four guns believed to have belonged to the suspect were recovered at the scene.

Normally such shooters off themselves rather than risk getting caught. Wonder why this one bothered to exchange gunfire. Also wonder why he asked students their religion before shooting them. Bet he was a fedora wearing internet aethist.

Why does this make the news yet Chicago's death machine keeps on rolling with not a word? Strict gun laws do not work. Allowing mentally ill young men and women to roam free doesn't work. Its bound to end in tears.

People will be falsely led into a belief the state can protect them 24/7. It can not. If that were true we would already see it. Rather have a weapon when confronted with a psycho with a weapon.

How can you be so sure about this? You might of pulled an all nighter that day, your reflexes might be messed up etc etc. The assailant is prepared for that day, while you are not, chances are very high that he'll get the better of you. There is no way to prevent this unfortunately.
