Ostrava, Stodolní street and bars near technical university dorms
Olomouc (True gem) University with lots of open minded chicks - bars in city centre
Zlín - also university, lots of bars
Brno - not so good as it was, there is this mentality to "catch up" with Prague

It's good that you've breathed new life into this old thread, since I was really curious about how the Czech Republic stacks up these days in comparison to other central and east European destinations. I've heard it asserted that women from Moravia are somewhat sweeter in character and more traditional than girls from Bohemia - would you also agree with this characterization? As a 41 year-old guy running day game, would you still recommend Czech Republic if hunting for women around 5-10 years younger?

And would you happen to have any idea of how women from Moravia compare to UK women, in terms of approachability, temperament and general ease of gameability?

It sounds like an ancient university town, about the size of another university town in the US: Boulder, Colorado.

I spent some time in Olomouc. It has a much bigger "feel" than 100,000 people, since many commute from local areas to work there. There's also a beautiful old town square, and yes, a very high student population. Beware that english is much lower here than Prague, and the average girl less good-looking. But the youth of the city makes up for it. It's a very quaint, livable city. Daygame during rush hour at the old town square. A good club for nightgame is "Klub 15 minut"...students go there every night of the week. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Also stopped by Pilsen and Brno. Pilsen had a much grittier feel to it than Olomouc. Definitely some college hotties, and a nice old town square...but I thought Olomouc was a prettier city and better for daygame. Brno is much bigger than both...in fact the main street leading from the train station to the main square rivals Prague in terms of density of people. It's a very youthful city, though the quality was lower than Prague...upside is that you'll stand out more as a foreigner.

Agree than Czech Republic is one of the best countries to visit. Girls are very good-looking, better than Poland (less than Ukraine). English (at least in Prague) is great, and the attitude is very open/friendly. The lack of religion makes them open to sex too...probably explains why many porn production companies set up shop in Prague.

How is the situation with respect to age differences in Moravia between men and women: In the UK, women increasingly want men who are not just the same age as them but even younger than they are, given how the dating market is heavily skewed towards women here. Are Moravian women prepared to date guys who are, say, 10 years older than them or is this not so usual?

This is going to be anecdotal evidence but my experience tells me that big age difference is often considered a plus here in CZ.

My dad a woman 12+ years younger and it was not uncommon then.

A girl that has been with me for the past 3 years is 18 years younger. And she told me that many of her contemporaries are specifically looking for older men. One of her friends in high school married a guy in his 50s. Granted, that's on the extreme end, but it happens.

The reason I ask is because I am seriously thinking about spending some time in Czech Republic teaching English and was curious about the attitude of women towards older guys like myself. Do you know why the preference exists for older guys over there, by the way?

Not sure about the teaching English angle. In Prague, you will have a lot of competition from the English speaking manager types etc. Maybe the 2nd tier cities like Olomouc are a better fit. Plus it's closer to the wine region!
