I'm strongly considering heading over to Thailand in the new year. It will be my first time in SEA, so I wanted to use some dating sites to assess the sort of damage I'll be able to do over there. I signed up to Thai Friendly and spoofed my Tinder to Bangkok to see the sort of responses I would get. The responses were good and plentiful, and I decided to get most of the girls' facebooks. So far, so normal.

Now the strange thing...

A large proportion of these girl have thousands, some many thousands, of friends and "followers" on facebook. Likewise when I clicked on the eye-catching girls in their "Friends" tab, I was met by the same thing. Some of these girls were very average, but had more followers than many celebrities in other countries.

I wondered if I'd just stumbled on on some Thai celebrities, but the sheer volume of girls with massed ranks of beta followers seems to suggest that this is just normal over there.

Now I have some hot young girls on my facebook from here in my home country. On average it seems to me a hot chick might have about 1000 friends. So I guess I'm asking, what's going on with so many girls having 3000+ friends/followers in Thailand? Does this have an impact on online game/SMV dynamics?

A friend of mine (Thai guy, grew up in Canada but is from Bangkok) just moved back there for a job. I knew he must have some family money so I wasnt surprised to see photos of him partying in some pretty upscale locations.

What did surprise me is the insane talent he is rolling with and, like you mentioned, these stunners have like 300,000+ followers. What is up with Thai instagram and facebook?

I get the impression that many of these girls are running orbiter game or simply friend everyone they encounter on facebook. I know a young Thai girl who does exactly this. I don't know why you would get their Facebook, though. Viber/Whatsapp does just fine.

Yeah, I've mentioned this about Asian girls on social media before. You'll see very average girls just drowning in unreal levels of attention.

And social media really fits with the culture here so you can expect it to get worse.

Some very low level wanna be actors and people who want to get noticed use Tinder and other dating apps to build mega followings to show others they they are 'famous' and one up their friends.

Some low level PR girls spend a lot of time doing this to build up their 'value' around their friends.

Actual models, actresses or anyone legit would never use these sites. Or if they do, they will have a PR team managing everything to build followings on SM. You won't be talking to them but someone managing their account pretending to be them.

I would just say that it is normal in Thailand that everyone is adding everyone on facebook. I also get friend requests from girls and guys I don't know every day. Just because I liked some pictures of one my thai friends. They are obsessed with social media nowadays.

I asked a girl I was seeing, how come you have 4000 friends on facebook? Are you famous? She said she wasn't happy and wanted to have 9000 friends. But yeah as Dipar said, everyone adds everyone.

In Thailand and the Philippines, I've noticed that girls accept friend requests from pretty much anyone. They rarely know the guys adding them.

There are TONS of thirsty Indian guys adding these chicks. It's quite funny and sad at the same time. India must really suck.

I should also add that girls get hit up on Facebook for P4P too. Any girl that uploads sexy pictures (set to public) is getting offers. 100%.

I'd like to warn you it won't work for us adding a hot young Thai girls to your FB page. I did it a few years ago while in Thailand in for 18 months. After the business was complete I got lambasted back in the states so badly i had to close down my FB page. My favourite Thai girl who also works as a MC showed me what happens on her Line Accounts and Tinder. One phone was lagging cause there where 8000+ unread msgs, the other account was growing by 250 beta-spams during one evening, in addition to 10-20 Matches on Tinder. I was stunned cause even as a white guy in Asia I underestimated the attention a young, good locking girl gets on Social Media. I try to shift away from online game lately, but I would lie if I said I am not concerned about these observations. Agreed 100%. Some of the girls I plowed through in the Philippines are total social media addicts and have hundreds of orbiters on facebook. At first that bothered me a little, but it was no impediment to what I was after.

And I was surprised they cooked, cleaned, folded clothes, and retained their femininity while soaping your body down in the shower as their phones were blowing up with facebook likes.

That told me right then: in the western world, social media alone cannot be to blame. There are other factors at play.

Of the 100 likes of foreigners they on photos probably 2 of those actually ever set foot in Thailand.

I've notice a lot of weird guys on Cuban ex's of mine's facebook. Guys from countries where obviously they are not going to Cuba... i.e. Azerbaijan. Some of these guy write messages in languages which the girl obviously doesn't speak i.e. Hebrew. For a while I assumed these guys actually met the girls. From talking to a few ex's they told me they just accept whoever but they don't actually know these guys and the few that do just bring them gifts / recharge their phones but get nothing in return.

Well, most of the really hot girls (looks and usually status above the Thaifriendly crowd) have no lack of high-value-dudes, nowadays easily available through social media. From my experience the flaking rate is increasing among younger girls, since something (potentially) better seems always available.

Luckily, you can even find some girls in Asia who don't buy this shit and limit their use on these platforms. Imho these gems tend to have a more down-to-earth mentality and a genuine personality in comparison to female hypergamy veterans, cause too much real(!) options fuck with your head.

This is true. The amount of Indian and Turkish dudes displaying their thirst on the FB pages of girls I've banged is staggering.

4. Insane levels of thirst from beta Thai guys, Indians and Arabs.

Plow on and don't worry about it. Girls with 5,000 friends have never been a problem for me. These guys are actually doing you a favor by acting like such losers that even a slight amount of game will make the girls realize how much better you are.

You can easily use the Instagram obsession to your advantage.

I have a few likes from Ter Chantavit and Peak Pattarasaya on some of my IG pictures.

I've only met Ter once and Peak a handful of times(definite WB, but sadly I couldn't), but status whores don't know that. For all they know we're best buds.
