"The Treasury Department announced Wednesday it will replace the main image of its own founder, Alexander Hamilton, on the $10 bill, with a woman as yet to be determined. Mr. Hamilton will remain on the bill in a diminished way.
Americans will have the summer to weigh in on which one of history’s leading ladies they think should have the honor. There is no list of successors, but names frequently mentioned include Eleanor Roosevelt, abolitionist Harriet Tubman, civil-rights icon Rosa Parks and Wilma Mankiller, who served as principal chief of the Cherokee Nation."
They should replace Jackson, not Hamilton

I think Mankiller would be highly appropriate for modern feminists...

^ As if the unprecedented money printing of quantitative easing hadn't devalued American currency enough already.

Letting a woman usurp the place of the founder of the modern American financial system, chief author of the Federalist and arguably the symbol of american opportunity through what he accomplished in his own life is madness, identity politics gone berserk and unjustifiable through any rational means. Wait till at least half of the current faces are removed from currency to be replaced with 'deserving women' in a bid for parity. It's more likely that the founding fathers are vilified as faces of patriarchy than respected and admired in modern feminist circles.

Are you kidding me? Point out a single woman who had as much impact shaping this nation as Hamilton did! This is an insult.

I severely doubt that this will happen.

Actually, this is justice. Hamilton was a short-sighted statist that was always pushing for increased central government power and a central bank. Now the very institutions he was so adamant for are pushing him off the boat first.
History has refuted this man and his ideas.

It's not "justice." You can't get justice on a dead man.
This is pointless pandering and changing something that doesn't need to be changed.
They might as well just get it over with and put Hillary's ugly fucking mug on it.

If a woman is going on the bill, put Christy McAuliff. The dead teacher astronaut. She went up in full faith that she was coming back and blam. Fucked by mother nature and leaky orings.

It's not justified, but of course its going to happen. Soon they will justify it by saying he owned slaves, abused his wife, shouted at his butler, whatever. All of our founding fathers must be spat upon to make the end result of weakening our rights guaranteed by the constitution easier to swallow. The wheels of progress must go on.
I say at least its not the $20 because I know enough about Andrew Jackson to say that he is a man's man, which is why the feminists were agitating for the $20 in the first place. Surely it would be more satisfying for them to tear a figure like him down. This is not to belittle Alexander Hamilton, who I know little about.

If this isn't a sign of runaway feminism I don't know what is. Holy shit. Had a woman done anything as historically significant as the founders of this country, she'd have been on a bill 80 years ago.
