Shoring is a dangerous game. Not to be a debbie downer, but if you think the prostitute is going to have sex with you because she's enamored by your white cock with no expectation of anything in return... maybe in some cases, but 95 percent no...

Treat it like a tourist attraction. Walk through it once just to see it, but if you find yourself repeatedly returning there you're doing Bangkok wrong.

Without game, style and looks then no but if you're on top of your personal appearance, it is remarkably easy.

You can quite easily break these girls into two categories. There are the hardened prostitute types who you can tell by their demeanour straight away that they are on the game. They're up against the wall, with a drink, not dancing but ogling every single man that walks in the joint.

Then you have the girls that are ambigous; they're dancing or hanging out with friends and generally are quite drunk. Talk shit, have fun and game as usual in my mind.

In BKK, I honest prefer warming up a lead before I take them home. E.g., meet them for coffee / food in the daytime and then get them in my orbit when we're both out. That's how I will know for certain that she's not a pro.

Poosy Paradise problems huh?

Haha yeah pretty much.

Honestly, I don't mind doing a bit of pre-drinking there as there are some cool bands that seem to be stuck on a weird mixture of Creedence Clearwater Revival and Top 40 hits. Drinks aren't too expensive and it's a fun game telling the hostesses to fuck off.

Define disco full of whores. There are Gogos, beer bars, girly bars where the old divorced guys go, I go to legitimate nightclubs without bar fines.

I go to, amongst other venues, places like Levels, Mixx or if it's late as fuck Swing. I know freelancers go there, I know I have unwittingly fucked a few of them but who am I to judge them as hookers.

I game them right, they never have asked me for money and be damned if I would cave in if they asked the next day.

If they are providing a service, as opposed to two people participating in a mutually enjoyable activity, then they need to disclose this before my dick is inside them.

Flip it around, you meet a guy at a bar, you talk about your life problems and it turns out he knows a whole lot of legal shit. What happens if at the end of the night he says he is a QC and he demands his usual fee? You'd laugh him off the face of the earth.

Apples and oranges, hookers in Bangkok and lawyers but that is the type of scenario. The lines are very much blurred in Thailand, but if she doesn't ask for money until the deed is done then that is deceit and worthy of a boot out the door. If the cops or a boyfriend becomes involved you might cave in but that's never happened to me.

Of course, when I meet a random guy in a classy bar, I would laugh at his face, when he tells me at the end that he is a lawyer and he expects me to pay his usual consultation fee.

However, it would be a smart move from him to present me with his business card at the end and let me know that he is a lawyer, just in case I ever need one. The evening then would have been a small investment on his part, which could pay out big.

Anyway, the story would be very different, when I walk into the usual workplace of a lawyer, have an hour consultation and expect that it is free, because we have not agreed on a fee at the beginning. This would be a shady tactic on my side and I should have been honest with my intention from the beginning.

In all honesty it was a horrible analogy on my part.

In the case of me taking a girl home from a bar, might or not be a freelancer, if she doesn't stipulate terms beforehand I can't go know what she is or what she does. If she asks for money after the deed, unless she has some leverage on me I'm going to boot her out. it's her fault for not telling me and it's I who should be mad for being deceived.

Not sure why this is such a big thing.

agree, if a freelancer doesn't say your going to be billed from the start and you bang her and then she asks for money its her lose. I wouldn't pay and tell her to get out.

Once the crown jewel in Bangkok's nightlife

How long ago was that? I did pull a Siam Uni girl from there a couple years ago that ended up being one of the hottest girls I found in Bkk, but that place was full of pros even then. It's been full of pros for as long as I can remember.

I guess my memory might be hazy. I remember it being fairly legit when it first opened; they went at lengths to keep the legitimacy of the place in tact by keeping out ladyboys and obvious trolls etc.

Still on a good night you will still have 60;40 civilian to pro ratio though it goes the other way during the week. Always able to find a decent girl there

sorry but thats complete nonsense

if you go into a disco full of whores its implied that you pay. you wouldnt go in a supermarket and then refuse to pay just because nobody made it abundantly clear that the goods actually cost money, would you? [Image: huh.gif]

Have you been to BKK or any of the clubs mentioned in this post?

I'm going to BKK in July and have read all the resources on places to go and accommodations.

I booked a nice airbnb 5mins from RCA in Rama 9. I figured I would be going to RCA every night and didn't what to be seen a temporary sex tourist (i.e. staying in a hotel).

Is this a mistake and should I have booked one in Thong Lo instead? Don't see too much discussion about Rama 9.

Not a trollish post, any feedback appreciated.

I would book somewhere close to a BTS, Rama 9 only really has the mall Central Rama 9 to set dates at, so you would have to take the MRT to Asoke most of the time to meet girls at Terminal 21. If your place is close to an MRT then its not too bad.

It's a 1 min $3 motorbike taxi to the Rama mrt. Could I just take taxis everywhere and ignore the bts or is that bad move?

Traffic is horrid you have to take MRT/BTS during the day, motorbike taxi to Rama MRT is fine though.

If it's only a 1 minute motorbike ride it should be about 10 baht, which is thirty something cents.

You can't really just take taxis everywhere in BKK. Far too much traffic and the road system isn't setup in city blocks so getting somewhere close isn't so straight forward like it looks on Google maps.

Staying near RCA is ok, but I'd much prefer to be around Sukhumvit BTS like Kangaroo mentioned. Girls won't be walking to and from your place unless it is REALLY fucking close. Thonglor is a good choice.

We've all been there, I think. It's a learning experience and I'm still getting the hang of it out here.

There are definitely a lot of freelancers who just want some fun when the right guy comes along. I shored a couple of times with ease in Levels and Mixx. But I also had to kick one girl out.

It's not the black and white world guys are imagining. Many of these chicks (Levels especially) have money.

I'd advise some caution though because you never know what kind of trouble you might get yourself in. Personally I always try to make it clear I don't pay beforehand. Some of those girls might have shady contacts they can call up and then you are potentially in the shit. Maybe consider taking these girls to hotels instead of your main pad as a precaution.

Here in the Philippines, the freelancers are too hardcore to game. They are 100% about their money for the most part. The difference is the sheer poverty that exists over here. Bangkok is a lot more fun in that sense. I miss the nights out there.

PM me for accommodation options in Bangkok.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll see if this guy will let me cancel but unlikely. Sounds like Thong lor is the better spot.

Google maps says it's a 7 minute walk Route isn't that close enough lol?

Also, I know this been mentioned in other threads, but is blazer completely out the equation for July. But sounds like it's gonna be way too hot.

Don't even consider it. Short-sleeved shirt.

To me it all depends on the persons heat tolerance. I couldve definitely managed a blazer while i was in BKK. I rock blazers and waistcoats all the time here in Cambodia, bu only at night.

Wear your blazer outside at Route all night and try it out. I can't imagine anyone doing that and not being miserable. Inside under aircon sure, but not outside in June.

I used to wear jackets and light knits at night (wouldn't do it in the day) at that time of year here and there in BKK. It can feel quite cool on evenings when it's rained, and most of the time I'd be straight from my place to some bar or club with air-conditioning anyway. I'm the type of person that feels the cold a lot though.

Everyone has a different opinion, but for the most part I rarely use the overcrowded BTS OR MRT. Last week I had to meet a girl and her family at the Army Club for a formal event. From Silom, it would be quicker to take the BTS to Ari station and then catch a taxi up the back roads to the club, but if I did that I would be soaked with perspiration. Same problem if I rode my motorbike there. I called a taxi, 45 minute trip at rush hour leaving my place at 4:45pm, but I arrived feeling and smelling fresh. Use uber & grab taxi in addition to hailing cabs on the street when you are going out on the town (if you want to arrive feeling fresh). As for wearing a blazer at RCA, it's a matter of personal style, I wouldn't wear one this time of year, but I would definitely dress up for a restaurant, bar or club in Silom or Thong Lor.

Same, I had a couple light gray blazers that I wore all throughout the year in Bkk. I grew up in hot climates and am used to the heat though.

Hey guys, I am visiting Bangkok during 18th-26th June. Thinking of staying around Silom or Nana? Anyone recommend any good places?
