I'm appearing on the Dr. Oz show

How can Dr. Oz say fat shaming doesn't work when shaming worked to curtail smoking use? I have to sit through 10 commercials featuring tracheotomy patients just to watch one re-run episode of Seinfeld. Many cities have started implementing policies to not hire smokers as well making smokers essentially social pariahs: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/natio.../20443285/

So if shaming works for smokers why not other unhealthy lifestyles? I think the reason is because obesity affects the female psyche more. Women have a very low threshold for cognitive dissonance. If obesity was a male affliction shaming would not only be commonplace, but celebrated.

I love that the 2nd half of the SAME EPISODE is devoted to "no-nonsense" tactics to get in great shape. How fucking hypocritical can you be?

Doesn't matter, he is getting national distribution and i am sure that Roosh was fully aware of how they would make him look. To DR.oz and its audience Roosh is part of a fringe dark corner of the internet. The more shows like this Roosh appears in, the less people get shocked by it and less fringe he becomes.

More Than 1,000 Doctors Say Dr. Oz Should Resign

http://www.livescience.com/50621-dr-oz-s...-poll.html

Quote:Quote:

At least 1,000 U.S. doctors say they think Dr. Mehmet Oz should resign from his faculty position at Columbia University in New York, a new poll finds.

Earlier this week, 10 doctors sent a letter calling for Oz, host of the popular TV show "The Dr. Oz Show," to be removed from his academic position as a cardiothoracic surgeon at Columbia. The doctors said that Oz has promoted products and made claims that aren't supported by medical evidence.

And now, of the 1,300 doctors who responded by 4 p.m. ET today (April 24) to a poll conducted by SERMO, a social network for doctors, 735 doctors (57 percent) said Oz should resign from his faculty position at Columbia. Fifty doctors (4 percent) said Oz should have his medical license revoked. And another 280 doctors (22 percent) said Oz should both resign from his position and have his license taken away. An additional 18 percent said Oz should do nothing, because they respect him as a physician.

I'm older, so I know older women. And I know their TV viewing habits.

"Dr. Oz" is basically porn for the bored-middle-aged-housewife set. It doesn't matter what he says. It doesn't matter if his facts are right or wrong.

The reason he's on the air is because he's a fantasy figure for women in upscale cities across America. I know you all are thinking "Wait...Dr. Oz, a sex symbol?! WTF?!" But he represents the same kind of sensitive-intellectual character that Alan Alda did in the 1970s. Plus, for a guy his age, he's got great hair.

If this is the show Roosh is appearing on and he comes off halfway decent, he can expect to be swarmed with interest from the "50 Shades" brigade. My crystal ball predicts a future of potential Sugar Mammas who still think Bon Jovi is "the bomb diggity" and dozens of Susan Walsh lookalikes with sensible haircuts suddenly wanting to be part of "that manosphere thing." The plus side: they probably won't be fatties.

It's on Fox, 2-3 pm EST tomorrow (at least on FiOS).

Now that I see the audience, I guess we are not going to see huge uptick in male membership, and I don't think I want any nudes from these ladies.

Dr. Oz isn't all bad, but of course he is wrong on that one.

Still - it's a harmless topic they picked out of everything the 'sphere has to offer.

Also even in the preview they showed Roosh looking downward in the end as if feeling remorse and shame at the onslaught of the fatties "You don't know me!".

They will cut it as they want and Dr. Oz plays the angry accuser, which is likely a facade anyway. Interesting experience - we will see how much it will be picked up by the mainstream media and the feminists. The topic is highly limited anyway, so they stay away from the hard issues there.

This "Dr. Oz" is your standard, boilerplated TV opportunist trying to score points with the dullards by tripping over himself to protect fat people from reality.

So he sets up an ambush where he can portray himself as a hero, and paint Roosh as a "bullying" ogre. This is how these people operate. They have no shame, no honor, and no conscience.

How do I know? Just today I was looking at his website. He's got a feature story there with the title "How Mo'nique Lost 100 lbs and feels great" or something like that.

So, why is he praising fat loss in her case, but saying that "being fat doesn't matter" in another episode?

If being fat is so great, Dr. Oz, why are you praising Mo'nique's huge strides in losing weight?

The answer is that he has no belief system. He has no value system. Like all the authority figures of his generation, they're out to aggrandize themselves, to make money for themselves. They've sold out the public welfare in order to line their own pockets. And it's the same story from the politicians and "leaders" we have today. Utter, total cowards. And they will pay the price for their lies and cowardice someday, if there ever is an honest reckoning.

And the public interest be damned. He doesn't care about the country, about public health, or about any of the things he claims to care about.

It's all about telling the dregs what they want to hear. It's all about making the blimps feel good about their descent into savagery and loss of dignity.

This is why I can't respect people like him.

First, his wife appears to be around the 150lb area more or less...

[Image: cn_image_5.size.time-100-party-05-dr-oz.jpg]

The narrative seems to be a "bad guy" that says women should be healthy (booo booo). And that people should have personal responsibility (OMG...wow...just wow) I'm sure their editing department is working overtime to twist the interview into their narrative.

I'm sure the bored housewives will enjoy the show. You may want to consider closing the forum to new members for a week or two. In any event, congrats! I bet you never imagined when you were in college ending up on a TV show being attacked by overweight women.
