Who wants to be a tropical pimp?

Anyone want a drastic lifestyle change? In this thread I'm toying with the idea of getting into the "entertainment" business

http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-10595-...#pid164903

From the thread:
-------------
I know people who've done well with dating introduction services. The escort industry can also be a good business, as can webcam and photography work. If anyone wants to leave their daily grind and move out to the tropics to try their hand in these various pimping endeavors, let me know your detailed ideas if you are serious.

For an escort agency we'd need someone to cold approach the disco-whores and discuss financial arrangements. We'd also need to market an online escort service - my plan would be to target regions such as Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, and ban access from local in-country I.P. addresses. I have people who can post on sex tourist and travel forums, and have some knowledge of internet marketting and a team to build that end of things. An affiliate system would also need to be promoted; tell your buddies and earn 20% commission on a sex tourist or introduction service package kind of thing.

I can imagine selling one service which would be two wing-women to accompany the man out for a night on the town. Another is pay for play. Another is introduction to vetted marriage minded girls. Another is webcam and photography work. Webcam whores abound, but theres still money in it, and there's still money to be made licensing quality nude photographs. Another business would be to scour the local dating websites and perhaps even facebook and hand pick only the hottest girls for inclusion in a high cost dating website and introduction service. Cheap labor would handle that grunt work - a few full time staff for the job could be paid for by 10 subscriptions. Girls from that website would be informed of other opportunities within the organization. And for the hard core, another could be a website selling a subscription to watching you fuck the locals.
----------
Anyone else have interest in this?

Theoretically I could sponsor an intern, by providing accommodation and living expenses. Long term partners would be the aim.

You have some good stuff on your blog. Been reading it for a while now. Sounds like an interesting opportunity.
I'd just be worried about where in Asia you're planning to operate from (I assume it's Asia, seems to be your location of preference?)
I know the Philippines does not take kindly to any commercial sex operation run by foreigners. I think they recently jailed two Europeans for life. They were running a sexcam business.

The business that I'd like to focus on would be an online escort agency running out of Bali. To avoid trouble with the law, the websites would not be visible from within the country. It's possible to arrange the payments such that no money goes directly from the customer to the girl, nor directly from any employee to the girl, and to limit direct interactions with the girls. No girl need know the directors addresses.

There are "karaoke" bars in Indonesia. I assume they pay protection money to the local cops. The island is full of freelancers who never get any trouble. My idea is that we'd avoid being shaken down by the local mafia and cops by being low key.

As for webcam work, that could be developed, by allowing girls to work from home. There are some companies that will allow you to act as a manager, and the girls sign in to their network. Alternately we could develop our own such website, or negotiate contracts with other providers. I'm less keen on the webcam business - it would be a curiosity to try.

The dating website would probably be very low profit, or even a slight loss, however it's something that low paid staff can easily be paid to handle. It would be viewed as a long term investment with possible uses by our company to recruit talent and to facilitate an introduction service, and perhaps even the escort service, although I'm not too keen on encouraging the business to those not already in it. The intrododuction business can make a modest living, from what I hear from those who have experience with that. Clients can drop about $1000 for that service.

The escort service would require someone in the field keeping the database of girls fresh. As you'd expect there is a high turnover of girls who stay on the island. Some marry out of the business, some just move away.

Another service, which is potentially much higher pay, is a rental wife service. Girls would be on longer term contract. We'd of course insure the girl was into the guy, and got the bulk of the pay. This is a common arrangement in Indonesia, and from what I understand is actually legal and is sanctioned by Muslim law.

Another service I've had in mind is a pembantu service. Young girls act as cleaning ladies. This could of course be a front for a different arrangement.

These are some good ideas. I will send you a pm.

Another little startup business could be renting motocross bikes at a track. You'd have to find someone to lease out the land, arrange to build the track, and work on promotion, through the local advertisements and through tourist agencies. I'd want to keep my investment in that as low as possible - I could spring for a few bikes. Perhaps a profit sharing arrangment with the land owner could be arranged, or perhaps a route through rice paddies or what have you could be arranged.

That type of business would be a lot of work for little return, however it's really about lifestyle, and long term slow steady income.

Here's a business idea:
Make these hans solo fridge doors in standard fridge sizes and sell on ebay.

http://9gag.com/gag/2822578

but include the option of using any figure for the head, such as the fridge owners.

I suppose it could be done by 3D graphic and and a CNC router used on foam.

There must be a billion little cnc projects a guy could run - and that work could also be outsourced.

I used to get carried away with business ideas years ago. Had several modestly successful businesses, and even did some electronics manufacturing at one point. It took me a long time to learn to just settle down and focus on the few things that worked, rather than expand all the time.

But now I have a small budget to toy with, if someone wants to work for a percentage of business plus accommodation and living expenses.

I had to live hand to mouth with no fallback option much of my life to pursue my business interests, so although I'm not offering much money straight up, it's a bigger opportunity than you might realize, if you have the entrepreneurial skills to make things happen.

I knew a guy who commissioned stain glass lampshades in Thailand and sold them on Ebay. He always had a huge smile on his face when he discussed his income.

If you stumble around long enough, you can find find something that earns you enough income, while also greatly increasing your lifestyle and life satisfaction.

Most people don't do it because of the risks.

If only you knew of someone to take those risks for you!

Would you do this w/o licensing them?
Or would you go all legal and get Lucas and Co to sign off on them?

I wasn't serious about the carbonite fridge door idea. it might make money as a business venture, but I wouldn't gamble the time an setup costs on that. As a general concept though, I'm sure a custom fabrication business that did some high end work such as that could find enough clients to keep afloat, especially if there was a graphic artist CNC whizz able to whip up the 3-D image files. 9gag.com is full of really cool things people have dreamed up to sell.

I do have a more serious idea that is in the realm of low tech fabrication that could be done here in indonesia and exported. It's been on my mind for over a decade now, but before now I didn't have the funds to invest in making a bunch of them and shipping a container of them to the U.S. I won't mention that idea here, but if I worked with a guy I trusted and he proved competent and interested I'd partner with someone to develop that business.

And I have a 2nd more involved fabrication project that's been a daydream of mine for ages I'd love to develop - but doubt I'll ever find the time to bring to fruition by myself. I can go ahead and mention that one - it's about pre-fab houseboats that flat pack into a shipping container. I'd like to use bamboo as a major construction material for those.

Have you considered Kickstarter?

I'm working on my physical goods/internet business as we speak. I can do a "pre-order" model with my business.

I was really thinking of doing a kickstarter for my next venture. If you can build the prototype, you can probably get the crowd to fund you to go into early production.

I took a look at both the kickstarter website and the wikipedia entry for it, but couldn't find any mention of how investors are compensated. Why do people invest there?

Regarding an online escort agency, it would help to make it global. So anyone who wants in on this could work from whatever country they are in. There would also be room to work to consolidate existing online agencies into our database.

Our site will allow for feedback on the girls, and could grow in fame given the right promotion.

We'd mostly need guys to work in the field gathering up pictures and contact info for freelancers. The site would largely automate the financial end of it.

It's a very weird concept, but people who "invest"
- $5 get name recognition
- $10 -stickers
- $20 -t-shirts
- $200 - the actual product

People contribute money just to see things that they like get made, some people give enough money to actually get the product.

It's very "internet" in that it doesn't make sense, as you couldn't do that kind of thing in the regular world.
