Transitioning from day game to night game techniques
11-10-2011, 06:34 PM
After reading about and incorporating day game techniques, a question occurs - When do you transition between day and night game methods?
Obviously there is a significant amount of overlap. I'm thinking most night game is strictly for venues involving alcohol. When I try to integrate more than a small amount of cocky/funny into day game, the interaction almost always goes south quickly.
Thoughts?

Yea being cocky/funny doesn't work too well during the day, and elderly chat and Galnuc don't pack enough of a punch for nighttime game.

Do you mean the hour of the day that you start to transition?

Does a particular hour apply? I was thinking along the lines of say, nighttime in a coffee shop. It may be a crowded nighttime environment, but you'd still use day game tactics since there really isn't alcohol involved. Conversely, an afternoon BBQ where everyone's drinking beers might be better suited for night game tactics. It seems like the presence of alcohol is the determining factor in using day vs. night game. Is this generally correct?

Those are overlap areas. The conservative strategy is to start with day tactics (elderly chat), then if she's giving off a social/playful vibe, make it more of a night game situation.

I've found day game works best for me, but have a hard time on the night time transition.
Of course, it could be the quality of bars around me which tend to be full of rednecks. The creepy thing is they are in the same bar location every time I drop in for a beer.
