Wondering if anyone had advice on quickly leaving a country behind and getting into a European country, like France/Germany/Britain. I'm working class and live in the US...I have about $1k to work with right now. I'm training to get into the police academy for my local city, but a combination of factors is making me really squeamish, and I'm just sick of it.

To list: Ugly fat womanimals, pay so low I can't even survive (and I'm making the most at my education bracket I can), disgust with the culture, rejection of the fact that our government is bought off (look at the jobs bill a few months ago being shot down with no explanation, the tax hike on millionaires never happening with no explanation, and now NDAA 2012 means we're moving towards martial law), don't expect the job scene to ever really recover, lost my original trained occupation and now that job may never come back, am sickened that they plan on censoring the internet to "prevent piracy", loved being in Britain and Germany, and I don't expect either decent job opportunities or freedom in the next ten years. Being a cop would insulate me partly from these things somewhat, but even so, I want to know if there's a way out.

I'm over 50 and afraid you're overreacting. Where I am now (Ukraine) people plot and work for years or even decades to get to the USA.

So there's a short, simple answer: SAVE MONEY. But that doesn't explain the details.

Canada is looking for people ready to work, there isn't the same kind of thief class at the top ( their gov't deficits are far lower than here) the oil fields are working, and you can fill out an application online to check your points for immigration.

There are threads in other sections about "oil field work" somewhere. Very high paying, isolated places, good flexibility with taking months off after you save a pile.

While it may be smart, if risky, to get to a different place while you're young, 1K is really very little, 3-5k would make it far easier the first few months. You could at least not be starving for the first couple months. And the whole headache of working illegally is something that will be a daily pain in the ass.

If you really feel desperately out of place and are determined to make a break, why not take some high-risk work like on a fishing boat or oil fields, save a pile and get away for awhile. You have a much better chance of getting away and STAYING away if you can take off with 10k and have more time to get established or marry a EU local. If your game is good marrying a EU local might work.

One thing that's true over all the world I think is no one wants a broke motherfucker around. At least if you can pay for your food and offer to pay some rent and are obviously willing to bust ass working at anything available, that goes a long way.

I just stayed in Murka until I had an independent income so I could leave and MAKE IT STICK but I'm getting old and my approach has its drawbacks.

Let me explain a fundamental difference-- in the USA, the theft by the ruling class is legal and built into the rules; as you mentioned in your knowledge of the recent Congressional action.

Paradoxically, I realize that is good compared to what goes on in less transparent countries.

Why? Because it shows you how stupid the great mass of people are, and that they don't even look up facts like income inequality and elect someone ethical like they do in Iceland, who never bailed out their scumbag bankers and whose president doesn't even have a security detail. The wealthier people in Iceland wanted to bail out the banks ( screwing over the little people) , but they had a referendum and te general public said "Fuck that."


So Murkans are simply stupid and deserve what they are getting.
It is the natural order of things for life to be the OPPOSITE of fair. The strongest lion gets MORE of the meat, not less. So socialist countries are going against the natural order, but that's what makes the living conditions so good ( Sweden and Iceland are exquisitely safe, clean and organized; Sweden has close to no budget deficit unlike WarMurka. I see socialism as a greater sign of people giving a damn about each other, as in "You have a society which is a group of people" in pure capitalism everyone is assumed your enemy, a hellish way to live. I find socialism much more pleasant myself than the cynical worship of the law of the jungle in Murka; or the even worse variant here in Ukraine, law of the jungle wrapped in constant graft and lies.

Practically speaking, I am in Ukraine precisely because I worked in the public sector in Murka and now have in independent income, but because of my age I can't really take advantage of the superior snatch that's available as well as I could have.

You are dead-on that MurkaWhales are the worst and to be avoided. How to do it is the strategic/logistic question.

There a simple answer no one wants to hear because it's slow: SAVE MONEY.
