Putting aside all partiality, what news service do you think reports the facts accurately?
I like Reuters, bbc, and AP, for all national , international news.

I like the Financial Times. It's relatively impartial and no-nonsense. People who rely on it to make investment decisions don't have time for bullshit.

RT News is the only place to get legit news IMO.
RT is straight propaganda. It's literally run by the Kremlin. They basically give a voice to anyone willing to criticize the west. And that's not to say that the west doesn't deserve criticism.

CNN, ABC, FOX NEWS, NBC is straight propaganda. It's literally run by the 3-4 Corporations. They basically give a voice to anyone willing to make them a buck.

Same nonsense can be said about Corporate owned USA media. Look all media has bias, if you understand this fact then getting your American news from non-American sources makes sense. If you understand RT it makes its bread by being the only network that is critical of American hegemony.
My head hurts after watching more than 20 mins of CNN or NBC. All establishment shills taking kickbacks. You have the "former Army general" pitching wars in Persia as he's a paid consultant with weapons contractor Lockheed Martin. Toothless GOP debates where shilled reporters ask marshmallow questions candidates had time to prep for.
American news is complete trash.
I let my dog shit on American newspapers I get free. Waste of trees.

Like I said earlier, read Time after reading The Economist and it's embarrassing. And CNN and the New York Times and the Washington Post all have a definite mainstream, pro-U.S. bias, but there's a difference between bias and outright propaganda. Journalists in the United States have an incentive not to rock the boat too much or else they'll lose access (look at Steve Kroft's softball interview of Obama), but they also have an incentive to look beyond the spin every once in a while (like the Washington Post's series on Top Secret America).
You would never see that sort of thing on RT. In fact, journalists in Russia have a funny habit of getting merked when they get too critical. What you see on RT is some dude spinning conspiracy theories about 7 WTC or ranting about the economic system without any real understanding of economics. As bad as things are in the U.S. press, if you read with a critical eye you will come away with a pretty good idea of the basic facts. From there it's up to you to supplement with other sources to get a more complete understanding.
You're right about the cable news stations, though. They're all garbage. There's really not enough legitimate news to fill 24 hours, so they fill the air with the worst of the talking heads and pundits. I know a lot of think tank/journalist types that do these shows (RT included) and many times they're either looking for someone to speak some mainstream, non-controversial fluff or they're looking to get two idiots from opposite sides to yell at each other on the air. If you have a reasoned, articulate views, that question the status quo in a thoughtful manner they're not all that interested in booking you

I love Al Jazeera. They really get it. They've managed to find that nuance that big mainstream outfits seem disconnected from.
The Guardian is cool. I like The Economist, but they adopt a quasi condescending establishment pov, though on some issues they have always been progressive. It's been around since 1845 and they were always against slavery, for example.
Project Syndicate is also cool. That's more indie, but they bring in all kinds of big name folks to pen great articles. Google them.
