Hey not sure if this is the right forum but it's about a specific location so I'm putting it here...
I'm trying to make plans with a girl that lives in Newark, I figure maybe just go to NYC since it's better for a date? What do you think I can do and what are some good options.
Note we are both under 21.(sophomores in college)

any ideas? I was thinking maybe a dance venue such as salsa as I believe she is Brazilian but not sure... usually dance venues require you to be 21. Any one have suggestions. I was considering a dinner then not really sure after that.

Pull a Paul Junka. Invite her back to your place, let the liquor flow and escalate HARD.

You might be overthinking this. I typically like my first dates to be side by side at a decent bar establishment not too far from home. If you've already had your way with her, take her midtown. Women love to be on dates around Bryant Park with all the lit up trees and ice skating. Bring your own beverages for the train ride in on the NJ Transit. Just dont drive so you can make out with her the whole way home. That 12 dollar tunnel fare is bullshit anyway. Don't be a pussy either, go for the gusto and escalate, escalate and escalate again.

You're both under 21? Dude, DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE.
think cheap, think fun.
She can probably get into a lot of clubs and bars, you, not so much.
Think logistics. You need to excite her, liquor her up, isolate, and close.
Can you do those things in NY? Especially if you're not of age and don't live in NY.
The game is 75% logistics once you get them to go out w/you.
what do you suggest then?

Nix the dinner, but skating isn't bad.
Personally I'd go for some funky cafe (maybe with open mic night), art gallery, market, hookah lounge, all-ages music venue, dj's in a warehouse, etc. Tons of options that don't require booze.
Taking her to something different wins.

ice skating at the standard hotel. Highline park. Eat at the taco truck on 14th St & 8th ave. I'd tell you to bang her in the bathroom of the beergarden (the bar in the standard hotel), but you aren't 21 so you won't be able to get in.

They might serve you beer at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park. Otherwise bring a hipflask of liquor with you and add it to the soda wherever you grab a bite (avoid sit-down dinner!).
Travolta's tips are legit. Walking the Highline is a personal favourite.
Your priority should be being close to where you live so you can say you want to show her something at your place or need to pick something up. When you get there pour some drinks or put on a movie and escalate.
You could also take her to an art gallery in Chelsea on a Thursday when they serve free wine. You may well not get ID'd there for the wine, and even if you do at least you can gallery hop and see some cool art.

Ok thanks guys for the input! I'll consider all of these options... and let ya know what I end up doing in the end.
I saw someone post a website showing where there are new gallery openings so I'm going to check that out, so maybe high line, some food and maybe beer(if not I'll bring some liquor or wine).
