I'm looking to set up shop there for 3 months. Ideally get a 1-bed or studio apartment with internet, in an affluent area in the center.
What's the best way to find a short-term rent, and make sure I'm getting a good deal, not getting ripped off / avoid any shadyness?
Previously (in Berlin) I've just found trustworthy-seeming people on craigslist looking to sublet.
Is there anything special I should bear in mind when looking for a short term rental in Bangkok, or other more exotic countries (e.g. S. America) for that matter?
Ideally I'd like to avoid the premium I pay as a foreigner. But then again maybe it's better not to deal with Thais and just find an agent / westerner with a sublet?
Be great to hear from ppl who've done this.
Cheers guys.
